What is your FOI Request?
I would like to be informed about how many people have received negative results for Covid 19 infection using the Innova Lateral Flow Device only to have been told that they are positive when the sample is subsequently analysed by PCR. What proportion is this of total tests carried out using both methods?

OR they could announce that there is a lateral flow test which is 100% capable of identifying infectious individuals, thereby enabling an alternative way for people to maintain public safety by testing at venues and before undertaking travel.

What is your FOI Request?
I would like to know when the Innova and Orient Gene lateral flow antigen tests imported from China were shown to be effective in picking up the Delta Variant of Covid, who carried out this evaluation and when and where the Sensitivity and Specificity results are published. I would further request a comparison between the S&S results of these tests when used in real life situations, compared with tests manufactured by U.K.-based Avacta and Mologic.

Covid testing using PCR technology

What is your FOI Request?
I would like to know what PCR Cycle Threshold (CT) is currently being used to ascertain the number of Covid cases in the UK and whether it is in line with WHO recommendations.
I would also like to know what the CT rate has been historically over the past 18 months and the dates upon which the threshold rate has changed.

And right on cue, I have just had the same 'party line' email from my MP (Kemi Badenoch, Saffron Walden). The wording used could be a cut and paste from Jo Churchill's written responses to all the awkward questions about Innova that have been asked of the DHSC recently. I think I am sufficiently angry to pen a response.

I have made the following Freedom of Information request to DHSC via their online form and am told that I should get a response within 20 days.

It's already pretty much mandatory if you want a job with the NHS. My daughter is studying to become a speech therapist and has already been told that she won't get an NHS job without full vaccination. Her boyfriend already works for the NHS and was jabbed weeks ago (age 26).

Tilly, much as I admire Septic Lil and her sea wench friends, I do rather hope that there is a celebratory programme for the female shipmates as well - perhaps involving muscle-bound Igor and his Russian Chippendales or Magic Michael, the masseur of Mgorsk and his steamy one on one therapy sessions? It's the least we deserve after all this rowing!

@Sparta, you are right. Being invested here (and previously in Synairgen) has turned me into a conspiracy theorist as it has become increasingly obvious that obvious solutions are being overlooked/obstructed. I feel that we have had a ringside seat to observe corruption and incompetence at the highest level. What is behind it all is debatable, but what should be obvious to all is that this is not a ‘normal’ government al response to a viral pandemic. It has become an exercise in control. I am furious that my young, fit and healthy daughters are being pressured to participate in the vaccine roll-out, even if they have already had Covid. It’s so cynical and tyrannical.

Too depressing for words. I’m sorry to repeat myself, but it suits their ‘vaccination at all costs’ agenda to keep touting PCR as the ‘gold standard test’ and keep the accurate LFT under wraps.

What we need is clarity at all times about the cycle threshold being used to identify PCR +ve cases. This is essential information for us to determine whether we are being manipulated and coerced into vaccine acceptance or not. I am going to try to get this information under Freedom of Information. I’ll let you know.
