After many years of being an Avacta groupie, I can only conclude that the Gov doesn't want an accurate antigen test for whatever reason. That's why I'm contemplating buying here because I think that (against all the odds and any kind of logic) it's the antibody test that will get the go-ahead for mass production by the autumn. It's all about mass vaccination and a graded antibody test will be seen as proof of need of booster.

That is absolutely all Bojo and the mad scientists care about - getting jabs in arms.

That you guys aren't more upbeat on here. To me that RNS (especially the Abingdon version) is a really clear signal that the Gov will be rolling out mass antibody testing in the Autumn to persuade oldies to get the booster and youngsters to get jabbed. It's just so obvious that this is the next step on the agenda to maximise uptake of the vaccine.
Oh how I wish that I had ignored AIM altogether and just shoved all my money into Pfizer (+17.58% over the past year!)

I expect that this is next up - a widespread programme of antibody testing to convince older population to get a booster and younger population to get first jabs.
It's increasingly sinister but they want to pump us full of this stuff at all costs.
Antigen testing can't tell people "you are still at risk", antibody testing can and that's what they need for the next chapter of the unending drama.

Totally scandalous- but Boris is “working night and day” to support the U.K. diagnostics industry. Until I watched him utter those words, in response to Neale Hanvey at PMQ I had never taken much notice of those who called him a perennial liar - but it was just sooooo obvious.

Given the Government’s blinkered approach to rolling out the vaccines at all costs (and nothing else matters). I foresee a widespread use of antibody testing imminently to try to prove to all the youngsters that they need the jab.
My daughter had Covid last Sept, was randomly selected to do an antibody test last month, this came back negative and, sure enough, she then contracted Covid again (totally asymptomatic throughout though.)
I can imagine forced antibody tests amongst the unvaccinated in vaccine centres with nurses on standby to offer an immediate jab to those who test negative.

Given the ODX/ ABDX announcements today, and the Government’s tunnel vision on vaccines, it wouldn’t surprise me if they start dishing out free antibody tests (preferably useless ones) to persuade people to get the booster vaccine.
