I’m not disputing if we’ll produce. I’m disputing whether we’ll be selling BEFORE the deal to sell it is completed. Nowhere in the RnS does it say we have a short term deal to sell, so we can all form a view whether they just forgot to mention that key fact or thought it best to leave it to people’s imagination.

I’m not even being negative or using to crab the company I’m just saying when a deal to actually sell is announced it’ll be a positive catalyst.

If others think an agreement is already in place and there won’t be a positive catalyst we’ll just agree to disagree. I’d be worried we were at this price WITH a deal to sell tho .

Production is starting because the exporting activities can continue throughout the winter (once an agreement is in place)

That’s how I read it. Perhaps they specifically decided to exclude any reference to a short term sales detail when referencing they hadn’t agreed a fee. :)

Yeah I stand my belief that we’re not currently selling oil as there’s no deal to sell it. As confirmed in the recent RNS’s.

Whereas you think we’ve got massive revenue next week from 1 new well on 300bopd, with no deal. Even if they have secretly done a short term deal you don’t know how much for, or the break even production costs

By “massive recenue”, he means (when we’ve got a deal to sell it) we’ll start off on 300bopd, selling for an unknown amount with unknown costs.

We’re not exporting anything mate. PC are (hopefully) doing that which is why we’re writing an agreement for them to do that along with SELLING it. These activities can continue throughout the winter.

If a short term agreement is in place to sell the oil how odd they didn’t think to mention that news, instead specifically excluding the word sell. And why bother getting the long form version agreed, documented, approved and signed - none of which have currently been achieved as the RNS confirmed :)

For disagreeing with you that we have a deal to sell oil when that’s what the company told us?!

I might even be wrong, it’s not impossible they had a deal to sell oil but thought it best not to tell the market exactly that in an RNS :)

We end up back at the same question tho - do you think an actual deal will be a positive. I don’t write in quadratics equations so can answer easily - I Do!

No I don’t think we’ll export anything. I think PC will stockpile our oil till a deal is signed for them to sell it.

Separately, I think exports can continue through the winter, which is the point being made.

I suppose if you think there’s already a deal to sell , despite the company saying the opposite, I can see why you find it impossible to answer whether a deal to actually sell will be good news.

I’d love to see the financial terms on your fictional deal :)

“Oil sales

Following the high level meeting held at the Block XIX facilities some 20km north of the Heron-1 well, agreement in principle has been reached between Petro Matad and the Block XIX operator for the collection, metering, processing, storage, export and sale of Block XX production. The details are now being incorporated into a cooperation agreement which will then be presented to MRPAM for its approval. The parties have committed to try to have the agreement in place in time for production start-up on Heron-1 which is now anticipated to be during October”

No subsequent RNS has references a short term deal to sell oil as you claim. Hence your extract didn’t include the word sell.

I don’t think there’s an agreement to sell, no. If there was then presumably they would have announced it rather than saying the exact opposite and the terms hadn’t been agreed, drafted, approved or signed yet.

You’ve spent a lot of time talking to me and discussing me if you don’t care. Perhaps the disinterest is because you’ve lost a debate

I say there’s no deal for them to sell oil. You say there is and it’s in the RNS - but can’t quote it.

Seperately you refuse to answer whether you’ll regard signing an actual deal to be positive. I say it will be.

Yep i don’t know a lot about the long term prospects. For example ive read nothing about renewables - so I don’t pretend i do.

@investor I’ll continue to sneer at people like tenbag who offer unsolicited advice for me to sell, mock the valid concerns and generally act like gurus having got this so wrong for so long. I don’t include you in that camp as you’re a reflective commentator so those comments aren’t directed or applicable to you.

I do politely disagree that newbies owe some kind of gratitude to LTHs for propping up the company. Nor do I expect newbies here today buying 10% lower than I did to owe me anything. We all make our own decisions mate.

The longs are unhappy with the negs? Who’d have thought they would object to fair questions and examination of the investment case.

If we get a deal it’s great news. If we don’t, it’s bad news. Not hard is it.

I maintain of the view we get a deal but do find it odd and troubling they’ve got us over a barrel with nothing signed but we’ll send them our oil anyway.

I suspect something else is in play and hopefully it’s good news like a takeover or JV - in which case they’d want to see H2 proved first imo.
