Mike Buck as the CEO decided to raise funds at 2p and decided to take part in the raise. I dont think it’s inaccurate to say “he gave himself a 45 discount” but you can choose your own form of words. Perhaps you might like to compose your own apology for accusing me of slander given I’ve said nothing slanderous?

As an aside he said his participation was essential to attract new investors, implying the raise wouldn’t have been a success without his own investment. I’m sure he thought it was good at the time and he still might - but I don’t read much, if anything, into a purchase on these terms in those circumstances. It’s just an opinion, there’s no right or wrong so you can respectfully disagree.

Who decided on the price and to “offer” the CEO the opportunity to buy $100k please Thorn?

I might well be wrong - my assumption was the CEO would be one of the main decision making in what price to do a raise at, and whether he himself takes part.

How does it work if not like that, ie who was it who “offered him” that option? Happy to be corrected if I’m wrong.

I don’t need to retract an accusation I haven’t made. He took part in the placing he arranged at a 45% discount - it’s a simple fact for god sake.

We can separately hold OPINIONS on whether that should be taken as some kind of massive vote of confidence or not. I’m in the latter camp.

@thorn - it’s not a problem if you disagree with my opinion - hopefully the exchange has at least taught you they said 200-300bopd not 250-300 as you claimed. You either lied or didn’t have a grasp of your investment. Show some humility. If they’ve carried producing that average with absolutely no issues or down time and no concerns about the storage then that’s fine - my opinion will be wrong. And if I’m right you’ll no doubt just pivot to explaining why you’re actually delighted it’s less than you were expecting

It’s 200-300bopd that was released, not 250-300bopd. Did you make that mistake deliberately or was it just you didn’t have a grasp of the figures?

Yes, I think it’s possible that they might have hit a problem - it’s a new well in Mongolia, during winter. If there’s not been a single issue then sure they may well have produced 250bopd on average - it’s just an OPINION. There’s also the possibility, as I’ve already explained, that they don’t have infinite storage and therefore might have held back for that reason.

If I’m wrong it’s not a big deal, there’s no need to be so triggered by a view that’s not the same as yours and based and false claims.

I think it’s possible there might have been an issue along the way, and very possible they’ve slowed down due to storage concerns. If that’s wrong I’ll absolutely own my OPINION being wrong. If they’ve averaged less than 250 I just ask you do the same.

As someone who didn’t point out Oil price dropping I don’t feel the need to join Thorn in giving a running commentary when it rises - but it’s definitely good news for MATD and I personally feel that the stockpiled oil will now be sold at the higher price, making it even better.

But I don’t think they’ll be 250 barrels per day stockpiled, I think it’ll be quite a bit less for whatever reason.

Production number spot on, but I think the big news might be the Osun state steer.

If that gets boxed off then I see a swift move to ATH’s - and it’ll still be cheap there.

2025 AISC also brilliant and I’m glad they’ve guided what looks like a very achievable production figure - even 85k at $1000 AISC would give a remarkable profit that would broadly equate to the current MCAP.
