Not the RNS I was expecting but just goes to show how much is going on with Segilola exploration, operational results and Douta. Plus the potential for good news from the licences in Ivory Coast and Lithium.

If / when Osun state get sent away relatively happy the sky is the limit here.

My only slight disappoint is the slow progress on the mine life extension at segilola - it’s been talked about for so long and yet not many updates compared to when they told us to expect them.

@tenbag I contacted the company once - to ask if they had a deal to sell just after they released the RNS saying there was no deal, because you and the rest of the board INSISTED there was a deal. They didn’t reply and here we are 3 months down the line still with no deal.

Did you contact them to ask when the 2025 dividend you INSISTED was coming would be paid? Or when the £5m - £10m winter revenue you INSISTED we’d receive would land?

I wonder if Abzzba contacted them with his theory that “no news is good news” exactly the time H2 was encountering a week delay and then had to be suspended? Or perhaps he checked whether the company agreed his “conservative prediction of $100 oil?

I doubt you’ll ever get that entirely precisely broken down. The big unknown is the extent of the spending on renewables - part of the raise was specifically for that so one can assume the spending ramped up H2. No idea when they expect any revenue or how much that might be. All very good to praise the diversification but not when theyre short of cash to fund the existing loss making Heron field. Same with Gobi really - wrong time to throw money at a 15% punt.

Exciting few weeks ahead with the operational update and then next month the financials - it was the latter that really moved this in August. Douta PFS due anyday too.

I think it would be better to have 2 separate updates, one for Douta and then the operational update which will demonstrate there’s 2 separate, attractive revenue streams. Good bubbling along nicely also a lovely bit of background music.

“Doc, 9 million paid for H1 completion, H2 drilling and testing and GOBI 1 drilling, H2 is not a dud, its drilled, from there remedial works will improve on the 30 bbl/d, GOBI quite possibly similar, its drilled, could be it now needs fracked, costing for all are below, i posted these a month ago and from Progressive report it seems i was quite accurate.

We know two costs. To drill a well costs 1.5 million, we also know the entire cost to bring a well to production is 4 million, To bring a well to production includes 3 processes which are as follows:

1: Drill the well, (1.5 million fact)

2: Well test. (1.25 million est)

3: Completion. (1.25 est)

So fair to say Well test and completion costs 2.5 million. (have estimated 1.25 million for each)

H1 was drilled and well tested in 2019, this year H1 costs were completion only so we could start producing so H1 costs this year around 1.25 million.(note surface completion equip-ment such as beam pump & compressors were onsite before the infamous fund raise so paid for from funds before the raise).

H2 was drilled and well tested, it has not been completed so H2 costs around 2.75 million.

(H2 came in drilled a week early so I would assume slightly lesser cost than above.)

Gobi 1 was drilled, not well tested and not completed so Gobi 1 cost 1.5 million.

The remainder of the 9 million is cash in bank enough for daily costs/salaries until around end of April, i have made no account for nor included oil in storage.

If anyone can also direct me to where it says 250bopd covers corporate running costs that would be good too - to my understanding didn’t there’s no details of what we’ll receive for the oil, how much it costs to produce and how much the rest of the corporate costs are. Although the broker note suggests they’ve rattled through most of the $9m raise having only drilled Gobi And H2 (circa $1.5m each) so the renewables “business” must be cash hungry.

I couldn’t touch this (at this price)until we know what H1 has been producing, that the oil can actually be sold and ideally whether H2 can be brought on stream and where the money is coming from for that.

At some point I expect to buy again as I feel I have a better understanding of this company than almost any other on AIM.

I think it’s likely, indeed probably they’ll increase H1 flow rates. Not to 800bopd though and certainly not over the winter. They can’t risk it going belly up.

If they’ve averaged 250bopd to date I’d regard that as positive, my suspicion is they’ll report less.
