The evidence being a 1 in 2 success rate on our field and you admit (like me) to not knowing what the output or success rate of PCs field is so just ridiculous to claim ours is better - especially after a lecture about artificial man made boundaries.

When you’re skint you can’t afford duds. And DQE are LESS likely to take deferred payment for H3 unless H2 is proven not to be a dud. And let’s not forget they didn’t agree a deferment for H2.

H1 was drilled which gave the basis for the projections. H2 didn’t perform to their expectations so that knocked my confidence. I suspect it will make funding the next few harder - if you were DQE would you be more or less willing to defer payment on H3? I’d be less

@abzzba It didn’t meet their expectations, hence they suspended it. Whether it can be brought upto a better level of flow is uncertain - that’s not me guessing that’s what the company said (quote below). You certainly weren’t telling anyone of this 50% success rate in October, so this feels like post rationalising a poor outcome. So it’s either just what it is OR they can fix the down hole issue.

I’m saying the field is worthless. My single biggest worry / reason for selling is the 2nd well didn’t perform as they expected - I just formed a view it brought considerably more risk to the ability to develop the rest of the field. It certainly lessened my confidence and I suspect will make it harder to fund the next few. I appreciate others might see it differently and include the caveats that a) H2 might be fixable and b) I’m not an oilman.

But genuine question - even if you disagree with my analysis would you acknowledge it’s within a range of reasonable views? If not, why not?

It was 30bopd btw not 50bopd, not that it matters much.

I don’t know the success ratio of PCs wells and I’m no guessing you don’t either. Nor we do know the average each well produces.

The underlying point is you appear to assume 19 wells will average 400 bopd, despite the facts known so far on H1 and H2.

H2 was suspended because it didn’t flow as expected, which might be something they can fix or might be just another one of those wells in the basin.

Once again you resort to introducing a strawman and pretending it what I’ve said.

I don’t know the likelihood of the next 19 wells all producing at commercial rates. What we do know is so far the success rate is 50%. We also know - despite your claims to the contrary - that’s H2 is very near H1 and aside from H5 the other proposed wells are further away, or to use your own phrase more towards the periphery. Whether that’s significant or not I don’t know, so don’t pretend to know. My assessment is the next well will be drilled with less confidence given H2 didn’t perform as expected. I’m fair so caveat that with so far. I’d also remind you that the company themselves quoted H2 as being “ in line with flow rates reported from some other wells in the basin”. So perhaps you could answer your own question and tell us why all the wells on our field are expected to perform not in line with some other wells in the basin?

All those sums sound great (if typically exaggerated) but yes a sensible investor would indeed at least consider how you arrive at 19 producing wells based on being a loss making enterprise with a 1 in 2success rate for the wells to date.

All those sums were valid last year weren’t they? You know, when the share price was multiples higher and you were advising your son to invest here and fortunately he didn’t listen - which bizarrely you now brag about.

“Near term upside” is this year and this year you’ve all but acknowledge will bring a raise, which will almost certainly again be at a material discount to the SP. Investors who want to actually make money and not fall in love with a cash haemorrhaging company will factor these things in.

There are different kind of Director buys. Lauding someone putting in a 5th of their package at a 45% discount isn’t anything that can be read into. I’m hardly bullish here but I’d happily put in a 5th of my salary if offered a 45% discount.

Yea thorn you’ve said you’d be happy with a raise along with some help from the mongols. I’m asking why these things aren’t already locked in, ie what are we waiting for? Would it not be better to have the plan in place so they can do the necessary work that’s involved in getting 4 wells operational? Or are you envisaging a race against time again?
