I love it when the old timers but especially Investors tell us how dire things were when there was no access. It’s well before my time but how come you invested in a company is such a predicament?

If you read my post Investor you’d have noted I specifically mentioned things are different now because it was a fair and balanced post. The point still stands - the company is trying to find a partner because they’ve decided they can’t go it alone after Heron 2. Will they find one - maybe. But maybe not and anyone with an understanding of risk would at least consider the “maybe not” aspect, especially given the CEO has stated he doesn’t think they’ll find a dance partner this year and indeed they’re “stepping up efforts to secure a partner”.

There is no inevitably about a deal. That’s why there hasn’t been a deal signed since Heron 1 was tested in 2019.

It’s now 2025 and they’re telling us manjana. Yes it’s fair to note there have been huge developments in that time re access, permits and now production but equally people need to consider the fact there’s 1 producing well which isn’t producing what they expected. That will probably change shortly but when a company tells you they’re (now) looking for partners having previously stated a different strategy then let’s reflect on why, and the likelihood of finding someone - and critically on what terms. Business isn’t as simple as saying there’s this much oil so it’s a no brainer. AIM is littered with companies who couldn’t extract their resources for multiple reasons.

And what is this low hanging fruit you reference thorn? Heron 1 they’ve been clear about the rest they’re just considering testing as I read it. Certainly no funded path to delivering another producing well and most definitely not the 4-6 you repeatedly told us about this year. Yet you still claim 2025 is MATDs year, whilst simultaneously conceeeding it’s a year of treading water.

Has anyone considered what happens if nobody fancies taking a punt throwing a few million on Heron 3 etc - as we’ve told is probably the case this year?

More than happy to accept a circa $300k cost for H1. I’ve no knowledge or experience on the costs and haven’t ever claimed or quibbled anything.

That just leaves your estimate for H2, Gobo and Gazelle.

$300k is of course 10% of the entire cash in balance 3 months ago, which will be a miles higher % now.

They’ll do that first, hopefully get the bopd up from the underperforming 200bopd and take it from there.

Or perhaps they’ll want to wait until they can actually sell the stuff, that would also have some logic.

They went through $10m last year though, that’s not really up for debate. Although as ever if I’ve misunderstood and someone wants to correct me the floor is yours.

The only figures I’ve quoted came from the company. If you don’t like them don’t shoot the messenger. They rattled through $10m last year, ending it with $3m.

I haven’t estimated costs of specific work. We don’t, for example, have a clue how much is being spent on renewables. We do know that in Half 1 the company went through circa $3m cash and circa $7m in the second half, ending the year with $3m.

Because the figures they released show they went through circa $3m in the first half of the year and $7m in the second half. They ended the year with $3m, so if we assume they go through the lower amount of $3m in this half they’ll be out of money very soon.
