Yes last of free shares were a while back as you say , I was wondering about the ability of the company to garner more shares to use this as a bargaining tool , I’m not knowledgeable about how a company would even go about this ( it was just my utterances)
As for parcel force this is another add on thrown into the mix that will add to more confrontation before it gets resolved . I believe in workers rights and the right to free speech but I look at the position of employees within Royal Mail and its a great paying job for what we are expected to carry out , I wouldn’t get this anywhere else in our market and I am always mindful of this when I ask myself the question , “is what I am standing up for a reasonable outlook in the eyes of myself l; the longevity of the business and the market at present and I have to say we are pretty well catered for. Whilst I agree that in any business there will be issues the things that matter most to ME is how much money I get out of my wage packet for what I have to do in terms of responsibility and hours I work . I think that this specific return is of value and I get paid well for my job , that’s not without its other issues ( pension reduction being one single big ticket issue - with white few more for example) but on the whole it’s a great job .
I am certainly seeing a division now between the old
Guard within the company and the new staff with regards to current work practices and the need to be successful and getting the job done .
