I know of a lot of people who have already sold their shares , some luckily at the 6.30 mark some not so lucky.

Is there anywhere I could find the current % or the amount of rmg employees still with a shareholding against what the starting figure was with the free shares issue?

Yes last of free shares were a while back as you say , I was wondering about the ability of the company to garner more shares to use this as a bargaining tool , I’m not knowledgeable about how a company would even go about this ( it was just my utterances)

As for parcel force this is another add on thrown into the mix that will add to more confrontation before it gets resolved . I believe in workers rights and the right to free speech but I look at the position of employees within Royal Mail and its a great paying job for what we are expected to carry out , I wouldn’t get this anywhere else in our market and I am always mindful of this when I ask myself the question , “is what I am standing up for a reasonable outlook in the eyes of myself l; the longevity of the business and the market at present and I have to say we are pretty well catered for. Whilst I agree that in any business there will be issues the things that matter most to ME is how much money I get out of my wage packet for what I have to do in terms of responsibility and hours I work . I think that this specific return is of value and I get paid well for my job , that’s not without its other issues ( pension reduction being one single big ticket issue - with white few more for example) but on the whole it’s a great job .

I am certainly seeing a division now between the old
Guard within the company and the new staff with regards to current work practices and the need to be successful and getting the job done .

They are all setting the scene for a messy confrontation in which I believe the current RM senior management team are of a different background and are ready to go further than previously done before by not backing down .

Be that as it may , the market doesn’t like uncertainty and I believe it will hit the SP as it comes and speculation increases .

Hoping that a deal can be found ( my original question regarding a share issue is what I was thinking) but any move from persons which hurts the ability to use the hand that feeds them is never a good thing imo.

Its a bit of a negative one , I do believe there will be some instability ahead with disruption to the business caused

. Cwu balloting over the 4 pillars agreement not being fully implemented will cause discussions to move to Industrial Action . The Cma are balloting over this years pay deal , on both fronts RM senior management have plenty work ahead to sort these issues to the satisfaction of the membership whilst still offering good value to the stakeholders .

Good morning everyone , long time lurker but this is my first post.

I wanted to say to everyone and I mean everyone , that I have learned so much from the knowledge shared on this thread that I feel like I know you all personally and wish to thank you all for the Information, strategy and market understanding that has been invaluable to me .

So on with my question!

I’m a current RM employee and was wondering about free shares being used as a bargaining tool in the recent dispute with the CWU and CMA. Is this something the company could utilise in order to swing a no deal over to deal ?

Also is it likely there will be another free issue to staff in the future ? And if so under what conditions would be needed to allow for this to happen . .
