If they can move to a different role are you suggesting that every under performer will perform badly in every role? Or are you on a witch hunt to just get rid of people ?
There is a flip side to being able to sack staff easily and that is the retention in general and the desirability of working for BT would diminish.
As these are telecoms roles , the roles change regularly so someone who was once a high performer now struggles with new tech etc.
Should all people be subject to sacking or is it not part of managements job to help them succeed in their role or be moved into one they can adequately perform in?
