RE: BT Pay Offer Refused20 May 2025 22:37

there are sections of the company that perform efficiently but there are quite a lot that have staff which aren’t needed or over subscribed. Usually it’s grades above B2, such as c1-3 and in lesser cases D1. There is also a huge swathe of project managers that are over paid and not needed or under worked .
Equally there are more level 3’s than needed, C grade I believe , who have no skill sets and certainly no technical knowledge . They are ‘hangers on’ waiting to be offered 2 year pay deals to leave. There are many E and D grades not the right fit to people manage but are in place to crunch numbers and prop up unqualified general managers and directors etc.
there are too many levels of management , and even if levels are reduced , you have finance managers , planning managers , HR partners , project managers all in high paid grade jobs and too many of them all supporting operations senior managers who do nothing but ask the other divisions the answers . Everyone duplicating everything .
That’s without touching the subject of engineers themselves or support staff at higher grades I mentioned above.
These problems occur in each part of the company , consumer , openreach etc. and within division it happens in every line of business.
So yes I do know , I don’t just invest blind or talk about eningeers . There are real staffing and efficiency issues , even if lines of business are fine as you say yours is.
I’m not Mandy and I stand by what I said which I also the company strategy. 55,000 need to go , wages need to come down and dividends need to go up as per progressive policy .
I would prefer you not to be condescending, I was joking with you earlier and we have had good interactions in the past.
