Can’t be bothered reading Mandy’s posts they’re too long.

However we do need a reduction in staff on a large scale , regardless of who is to blame. BT’s future prosperity in part relies on capex reduction which means staff gone. I’m a share holder and that is the priority of the board and anyone who posts here on a share forum. Not your employment.

Everything terraplane said is true but past actions and performance are no guide to the future. They’re only relevant to those who bought in the past at higher prices like Mandy at £5.64, hoping for a better outcome than present. Therefore understanding the past as terraplane explained it is more relevant to Mandy and his ignorance than the rest of us.

One thing is true though, going forward a large reduction in staff is required and quickly. It’s also true as time goes by the redundancy offers will become less frequent and potentially less lucrative, while performance expectations will ramp up on remaining staff. It will become a tougher place to work with less staff and less experience staff to ask for help . If I was in BT I would be looking to get a package to go over the next year or two.

The results were good so he probably kept cash at hand to pounce on the 9th in a window he can now buy shares? Knows it’s cheap at 510 approx ..

In my family there were two males and a female who did over 40 years in Bt. I have worked for 30 years in industry myself . I know the culture of bt . If and when I can see £3.50 a share sale, I would be happy to see the toxic workplace broken up and disintegrated. All its management etc. a toxic place that needs putting in the dust bin.

Until the tariffs are removed or agreed via deals I agree This is basically a bull trap . 🤷🏻‍♂️ what else could it be. Most stocks are lower than before this started and China and everyone else still has huge tariffs

The damage that has been done will only result in a temporary uplift. Things are in turmoil . We are down on 14 days ago , a high that took a year , lost in 4 days trading. It will take at least another year to recover , likely until a new administration as this one can’t be trusted even if it proves itself for 12 months which is unlikely .

The uncertainty is baked in and we won’t see the growth we have just seen recovered, at best a plateau at the old high or lower , so in all a stagnant few years .

Other damaging events have proven that future gains are hindered by current declines.

25p is nothing , nor 8%. Compare that to 14 days ago. The tariff damage rebound doesn’t touch the sides..

My mums pension pot dropped when Liz truss was PM. It’s in bonds which her provider moved it to within a few years of her retirement age.

Is it likely her pot will recover the 30% in value it lost, and what would it take for it to increase? Interest rates coming down? Not really sure on bond markets.
