Frolov , abramov and abramovich have been discussed by politicians across countries. They have agreed that these three, a concert, can’t continue to own or influence evraz.

We’re already all wiped out. On paper only suspended , symbolically its the beginning of the end.

Reading the latest batch of RNS, I see a multi national company resorting to desperate pleas of innocence that are going to fall on deaf ears..

Also the FCA said ‘to protect investors’ which doesn’t mean shareholders.
It meant to stop anyone putting further funds in

If they meant protect share holders they’d have said it. But Roman is a shareholder. They’re not protecting him.

You could say shareholders are included under investors . Again, they’re not protecting RA as a shareholder or investor.

I own a lot of shares here. even I don’t feel like this will be resolved soon. Court could go on for years then they move exchange.

I think we will know more with statements from OFSI FCA and RNS, this week. If it’s not positive this week it never will be and we have to hope it’s moved to an exchange that isn’t moex

Chelsea is a bigger fish than evraz publicly.

However to the government , politics and to Roman abramovich in our context as shareholders, evraz is a much bigger fish . As shareholders its a much more difficult hole to get out of than for Chelsea , where abramovich and gov are concerned.

Evraz, not Chelsea, is Romans cash cow. His economic oligarch status relies on it. He gets £100-200m in dividends every quarter and it’s his income, not Chelsea. Chelsea was his sports washing.

There is no way Roman gives up evraz willingly.
There is no way gov backs off a company supplying for tanks (in their opinion) and there is no way they back off Roman who is sanctioned

It will need war to end or move to another exchange.
Neither is going to happen in weeks . War will last a long time. Syria for example.

If gov had been able to freeze RA evraz shares they would. Had they done that and left evraz trading that would have been ok

Now gov has suspended evraz and board have done a runner i see sanction on the cards for evraz. Suspension over tanks is precursor imo.

How would evraz have suspension lifted now it’s in place? Gov , OFSI and FCA would all have to acknowledge evraz is clean or knowingly allow a destabilising company with indirect blood on its hands back into its market.

Evraz won’t be relisted for £ reasons to UK economy because the UK allies around the world , are watching their actions over oligarchs

Couple of thoughts that have come to my mind.

Did the board resign at the request of CEO?

Or did the board resign because they have been tipped off that evraz itself will be sanctioned in the coming days and are avoiding association?

Secondly, if the rules and laws were being followed , evraz wouldn’t have been suspended?

So what’s to say laws and rules will be following if evraz follow them to get suspension lifted?

Something tells me , rules and laws are out the window and they’ll keep it suspended if they can ever figure out how to relist without RA ever benefiting from evraz while it’s on LSE.

Unfortunately lodan is speaking some truth in that the gov can get away with this at the moment due to public sentiment toward Russians.

In time maybe when it’s gone quieter they will rethink due to the income and tax being more important than public opinion that has moved on

LSE may leave this suspended but the OFSI and FCA would likely have lots of letters between them and EVRAZ in the coming weeks. It may never be relisted on LSE but EVRAZ will know how to read those letters and will relist elsewhere based on lawyer advice.
Unless they see this decision being overturned in due course I think they will look to relist elsewhere and restructure

One things for sure . If the response to evraz RNS is anything but ‘ok thank you for clarifying, resume trading’ … then this is going to be a long time in suspension.

How big are the companies that are often delisted? Not as big as evraz , it’s twice the size and profitability of some of the private UK strategic infrastructure companies. So I can’t see it disappearing , but whether it delists is another matter. A company this huge will probably see it be resolved / responded to by OFSI FCA LSE quite swiftly , either way, though

While Chelsea is being sold, it doesn’t make money and is seem as a club of the UK people.

Evraz is a steel maker where Roman makes most of his money from obscene dividends every quarter.

It is unlikely the government will back down over tank claims

It is unlikely Roman will give up evraz (albeit a £350m share value) when it’s his wealth and therefore oligarch status protection.

I don’t know how it will be resolved but it’s not looking good and not any time soon for my and all your investments.

Demergers rasp and all that carry on mean **** all until we get word back all is ok and get back trading. If we don’t it all matters not.
