Wishful thinking . Does anyone really think a short statement from evraz saying no links to RA is going to solve this? Relist a day after being accused of supplying steel for war tanks?

There wasn’t any proof provided to enforce, There’s no chance they’ll follow their own rules for lifting suspension either.

No one except putin can take evraz Russia off him. Only international operations. So worst case is he ends up with Russian only mines , or mines in neutral or friendly nations. The general feeling I have , is that now romans sanctioned without what appears to be 100% proof he’s done anything, is that the government want him out. They want him out of Chelsea , and they want him out of evraz.
They can get him out of Chelsea, but they can’t get him out of evraz russian operations, even if they can get him out of other international ones. So it’s either long term suspension, Roman sells up, or it’s delisted. Roman selling up is very unlikely. The other two options are likely, unfortunately.

Is there any significance to the wording ‘temporary’ in the temporary suspension? Because the reasoning for the suspension doesn’t seem it will be temporary or short lived?

I do own these but a lot has changed since yesterday

Assuming there is a level of Russian corruption involved at evraz , which there is and has gone unchecked until war, I can only see this company disappearing or at best shares locked in suspension for eternity.

If Roman controls evraz there is no way he is going to allow dividends to be paid , where he doesn’t get any , or his are put into a frozen account. Why would he? For one he would be better holding the value in the company , which is exactly what happened with this dividend cancellation.

If the suspension isn’t lifted and status quo, I see him and his other two major cronies cutting their losses and staying with putin. There are two types of oligarch.
Economic and strongman. Roman is an economic oligarch. He’s only a billionaire oligarch and alive as long as he does as putin says and stays out of the politics.

If this dividend had gone through I’d have been shopping at marks and Spencer for groceries . Since it’s not and I’m lumbered with 10k of these ****ing shares, its aldi packet noodles

Where is the official news that Russia are prepared to compromise or ceasefire?

With no dividend and a precedent set that future dividends are more likely to be cancelled than we thought before announcement, as well as large investors deterred from investing (like black rock with poly) to me this share just stagnates until a cease fire, and everything im hearing from ministers is this won’t end for a long time..

When is the next dividend date , if one were to be paid?

I only had £300 in my bank on Friday at 60p. Rest of my holding are at 85-89p

I bought 10500 shares here knowing that it’s a risk.
By risk I mean the value will likely drop below what I paid but I bought in in case I couldn’t get in so cheaply later on.

This stock is otherwise safe. For anyone needing their money out within 12 months I wouldn’t touch this stock because I envisage lots of hysterical investors typing on here in the mean time , where touch times lie ahead.

In the long term this will return to better levels but the damage done by Russian gov means it won’t return to its previous highs for a long time.

The war will be resolved, but not any time soon . Russian forces are riddled through Ukraine and it’s been a long time in the making with plans and further expansion planned in. This is a long term hold. I wouldn’t expect to feel like I’ve hit the jackpot or long term security , retirement fund or pension feelings anytime soon. Hence why I only investe a small % of wealth. I’ll get on with my life while this takes a few years to rectify itself.
