Basing your figures on 100,000 staff to then acknowledge there is an actual colossal difference in reality a lot less.

Letter says can’t receive divi through crest

Here is the email I received last week. Reposting .

Dear shareholder,

To continue to trade EVRAZ shares and enjoy all rights you should materialize them, ie receive shares in paper form. If they are kept dematerialized, you will still be able to receive dividends and exercise your shareholder's rights, though not through CREST and electronically.
You will not be able to sell your shares as long as you hold them in dematerialized form.
You should request your broker \ bank to liaise with Computershare so that you appear on their register by August,19th.
Post August 19th EVRAZ will not be able to verify the underlying shareholders unless contacted by the registered shareholder, ie the one who appears in the register.

I requested paper certs because evraz have sent an rns implying I should, and the email I received that infinity reposted here specifically stated I should get the certs if if I can

I’m inclined to lose my isa wrapper in this instance and go with what they’re saying. I can always use future allowances to put them back in later, or if Not , I’ll be happy to pay some tax as that means I’m fortunate to be getting some divis

Bt repeatedly say their pay rises are in line with industry, so if no one in industry pushes for pay rises , then Bt will continue to offer derisory increases and continue to claim they’re in line with industry.

They are. I know for a fact they are not in work. The majority who have voted yes, have not attended work.

In response to jakeandelwood your attitude is wrong.

Saying if you don’t like it change your job is a very common and Ill informed response .

Firstly, if everyone in every industry had to change job instead of pushing for better wages, there would be no better wages to go to. Secondly this response is supportive of the race to the bottom of wages.

There are books completely devoted to the theory on wage deterioration , and it’s how you end up with 3rd world countries stuck in a rut. Supporting such an economic strategy where wage bargaining is bad, is how you end up with a poorer country over time , to the benefit of large corporations and their major shareholders.

Come on guys. I’ve got 45k shares in BT but I’m not biased . Let’s consider all sides of the argument

Do you not think there are young people who started at 16/18/20 and been there a few years and still are young now?

Further more, there’s a lot of young workers in Bt and openreach , and the majority have voted to strike, so don’t try to create a narrative that strikers are dinosaurs. People across industry and striking. They all old too??

In response to your very uninformed comment regarding the strikers being no spring chickens, the picket at wigan where nandy was pictured is not a highly populated exchange.

There is no TEC in wigan anymore.

If you look at other picket lines where engineers park their vans , or buildings that include desk or call centre workers , those lines were mostly younger workers.

Saying when you look at picket line pictures that people are no spring chickens is not the same as strikers.

A large proportion of BT’s workers and the huge intake of new engineers are young. All on new low paid contracts with part of it bonus non pensionable income.

I requested paper certificates from my broker today. They will be posted to me within 15 days.
