RE: Whats next / no way back to LSE11 Aug 2022 01:27
My paper certs arrived today in post but been too busy to open yet.
That said I don’t see any advantages to holding paper certs. . I only see that there could potentially be a disadvantage by having them with a broker. The difference for a Uk holder is likely to be marginal.
A citizen of a country who has not sanctioned evraz , but has bought Evraz shares on the LSE , is likely to be the kind of shareholder that the evraz RNS is targeting its message at, as they could feasibly bypass this sanction if they were holding shares in a Uk broker?
Overall I see a lot of talk about potential for being bought out or receiving dividends.
I feel having read many arguments over the weeks, that we are clutching at straws as to how any sanction will be circumvented as a UK holder, I also don’t see the UK bodies ensuring a deal for ENA which is palatable being pushed in the interests of Uk holders. If it does occur it will be a byproduct of any outcome that serves UK gov. In which case we are rose between a Russian and UK thorn.
Doubt this ends well for any of us. But time will tell.
