TorquayFan thankyou for your kind words. I can confirm I am certainly not aimbig and it is very annoying to be so accused with no ability to defend my name against the regular baseless accusations. I have no idea why people are picked out for this treatment but it does originate from one particular source. It seems that source is determined to make trouble. Anyway any details re the accusations would be appreciated.

Cracking do you know anything about this aimbig who keeps being alluded to? Having been accused of being him it would be nice to know who he was. If you don't know fair enough but it is a strange position to be put in since every new poster seems to be being accused of being the legendary aimbig! Strange to say the least.

I think you published the links before.
I think the second ones concluding three sentences are significant.
The writer accepts that he cannot actually state that what he's written is conclusive (he hasn't sufficient information).
Secondly , and perhaps more revealing is the last sentence bit about trolling and shorting. Maybe someone was long and wrong and saw the pattern.
It looks to me that the article was more than slanted towards unfair trading practices by DMA but any regular transgressions by such traders would be so easy to spot using tracking techniques.
So I have read the items (and I believe the "Cross Trade" item is not appropriate in this context - being more a Put Through) which does not appear as a UT on the LSE price recap.
So yes, there maybe some exceptions but I still believe that the LSE is not quite as wild west in pricing as you suggest.
Appreciate the discussion though hasiba. At least its original and discussed in a reasoned way.

OK you're perfectly entitlted to you view.
It seems strange that LSE keep the facility if as you say the MMs use it to manipulate the share price. Unless you think carefully. Isn't that what an MM does? Substitute the word manage for manipulate and see if that makes a difference.
If you are saying that it allows non market making traders to manipulate the share price that seems a lot more serious. An MM can quote a SP any way he wants, but there's other MMs to fill the gap. not all MMs are quoting the same price all the time BUT there's always going to be a mean level if you average all the stock at all the prices.... getting a true picture of all the bids and offers over a range of prices and market participants.
That reduces volatility and smooths the trading process allowing more volume at individual prices rather than loads and loads of small movements.
That's the idea of the auction process as I understand it, from which the UT trades emerge.

As to predicting movements from UT trades? Not a realistic proposition IMO.
I wouldn't like to try and influence the share price in Scancell at the moment. Too many interests with more capital available than anyone we know about able to keep the ship steady until there's some real news to impart.
In my view anything other than a wait and see approach is not the best way forward, whatever the UTs might imply.
They are simply a means to keep a market from seeing too much volatility and allowing transfers of volumes, smoothing price movements and keeping an orderly market. That's why LSE introduced the regular auction facilities during the trading day.

If there is a Vaccine that appears to have utility (Post Trials and Approval) surely irrespective of the difficulties in storage and transportation it seems churlish not to accept that it is a positive in the fight against Covid, and maybe support for the distribution and application would be rather more appropriate than finding all the reasons why it will not work.
Since the proof of the pudding will be eveident pretty soon it seems to me to be a bit like constantly saying Scancell will have news soon, when we all know really that we'll hear when we do. No amount of wishful thinking will change things.
So on the BB at the moment we have diametric opposites.
1 posters saying that the first Vaccine will be very difficult to use
2 Scancell will be announcing news (very) soon.
Neither position is necessarily incorrect but both seem to be statements of the obvious. A statement of the obvious is fine every now and again, but every five minutes?

I made that point because I can remember some posters trying to compare Scancell's Covidity with other Vax in trial and suggesting that Covidity was in some way superior. Well, maybe it will be but since we have a Vax trialled and approved, to me that overrides anything to do with Scancell. As you say it doesn't denigrate Covidity in any way, and it would be great to see the Phizer consortium congratulated for their success in achieving what many said couldn't be done.
I ignore any of the political machinations that are being whipped up in my comments, which in my opinion are simply beneath contempt.

As far as I am concerned any successfully trialled Vax is good news. I sincerely hope that there will vaccinations available for as many as need/want them as soon as possible.
Yes, for me the news this morning is very good.
At the same time I don't see it as in any way a negative for Scancell, it just means that there are more possibilities available for the population in the short term, which I think is very important.

DMA allows you to give and take via (and inside) MM quotes so its a means to the same end but with greater volumes and potentially finer pricing avaiable.
But if you are using a brokerage I can undersatnd where you observations have come from. We were therefore talking at cross purposes because I assumed that you were talking about the wider market (MMs) and their prices rather than those of the brokerage.
Anyway always good to hear others' opinions and observations.

Sadly clarity is not the cornerstone of your reply.
Innuendo however seems to be your basis upon which your reply is founded.
As you do not have the courage to make specific direct accusations your posts are frankly cowardly, worthless and certainly do not invite discussion from the accused.
Those who follow you should ask themselves whether the information you peddle is correct or simply self serving baseless accusation.
I think the answer from the last sentence will determine much about those who believe your innuendo. Its always much easier to believe what you're told rather than form your own opinion from your own observations.

thanks for your response, I take it that you're happy to have a discussion with me.
OK the reason I was asking if you have DMA. was because the MM size for scancell is far higher than 20K these days. The reason i say that is that I've been able to trade happily in 100K+ (yes both ways) for some months now and that's without using DMA so to hear that MMs will only make a price in 20K amazes me. if that were the case the wholesale market in Scancell would grind to a halt. Not only that how do we explain the size on L2?
So from my point of view it has been a very strange day recently when quotes for at least 50K both sides have not been openly available most of the time, and if one side is indicative it gives more than an idea of where the market actually is. At the same time there have been some indications that the share price has been both protected and limited over the last few weeks and that really does not surprise me at all. I think the net movement over the next two years is likely to be up -assuming the IP and BoD deliver - and so as we can't realistically guess, and I use that word advisedly, the short term movements I remain overweight in scancell shares in the hope that the Science does come good.

Please woould you let me know why you felt the need to post your 11.41 which seems to me to be attempting to slur at least one poster when you have no evidence whatsoever to back up your accusations.

I see what you are saying but can you tell me what you consider a tradeable size is in SCLP?
I do know a bit about how the market works and so it interests me to understand how others who buy and sell find the levels that are almost always available.
BTW I don't believe I've ever "Bullied" anyone here, If I have they must have a very low threshold between discussion and bullying. If I wanted to bully someone believe me they would know it. LOL
Incidentally i am holding a substantially higher weighting of shares in Scancell than I normally do in a similar investment in this sector simply because the prospects here are better than they have been for a long time.
Why anyone feels they need to barge in on a conversation and begin making accusations which are completely baseless is a mystery to me. It seems always the same people who do it.
i do hope hasiba that you don't mind having a discussion on trading facilities particularly when you are far from shy of posting your position and buys/sells.
If you would prefer me to stop this discussion please say so and those who accuse can rest assured the will then have controlled another discussion to their satisfaction.

I'm surprised that you say 50k is over market size.. trades in 100k plus have been no problem of late. The tradeable size in Sclp has increased substantially in the last few months. Do you have direct market access?

Or maybe MMs selling short to buyers. As the Offer is now at 11.52 you may already have bought shares they didn't have on their books.
However that would only be a worry to a scalper, not a long term investor such as you.
It reflects the differing perceptions of those involved in the market?
