Short term chart indicators have been bearish fo more than a couple of weeks. Whilst med and long term indicators remain firmly positive the retrace should not have been a surprise.
As to buyers, OK there obviously are some, but where do these buyers get their shares from if there are no sellers and the share price is static? It strikes me that if the buyers are getting their shares from sellers (the market) how do we establish there are (net) buyers?
Maybe it could it be the Market Makers selling short to the buyers? I don't understand how to understand the flows when i see people writing that there are many buyers when the share price doesn't rise?
Would welcome your comments on what is a conundrum to me.

On the market side of things I think you are correct. Unless there is relentless good news any small bio share is at the mercy of day traders. Looking at what's happened this week it is entirely possible there's a steadying hand at work on both sides of the spread, although steadynig hand might be hands. I suppose we have to wait for some tangible positives to emerge before we see fireworks. Whatever happens I try to remember that there are always impatient people who can't wait to let off their fireworks before the 5th, but waiting for the big displays is probably a better way to go.

Great response and I see your points. I also understand what Crackin is saying and I think there's truth in both posts.
What I actually want is for Covid to be defeated by any or all of the earliest available vaccines as quickly as possibe. I am driven by the quest for investment profit, but in this case I'd be very happy if Covidity was not needed and I could go and see people I enjoy being with and not to have to worry about everyone's health to the extent we should all be doing at the moment.
Scancell has opportunities that Covid has potentially enhanced, but anyone who hopes that other vaccines fail (and there are some around) to give Scancell a better chance to shine, has in my opinion a rather strange view what being a human being is really all about. I want rid of the threat Covid as quickly as possible so we can all enjoy lfe to the full again. Soon.
If Covid really was what caused the drop (and I'm not certain it was all about that) then so be it. All being well we have our chance to shine in due course.

Thank you for that. The reason I asked was simply that had any work been done by CRUK then if both versions were viable maybe the original could be continued with Scancell contributing to CRUKs costs, in doing so maintaining momentum on all fronts.

It seems to me that you want to paint my comments as negative, but in so doing you are blind to what I'm actually saying.

Sadly not all LTH in Scancell have your reasoned view of the market and the patience (and acceptance of other investors reasons for buying and selling).
I look forward to reading your future views and comments which appear to allow others to have their own way to profiting from Scancell's likely future success.

I see from your reply that you have misunderstood not only my comments but the market generally.
I am in no way saying that the output from the AGM was anything but encouraging.
My post was made in response to WeTookPelham's expressed surprise at the tickdown.
I put forward my understanding of why the tickdown has taken place. I think Krafty's comment that the market is a fickle place is a brilliant encapsuation of the points I was trying to make.
You also make part of my point for me in that you have been a holder and underwater (as I suspect you are again at this moment) for a long time.
Others prefer not to buy shares and watch their capital shrink over a number of years, and so when they think that there will be nothing in the way of Data to publish (food for buyers) for some months they'll cash in in the hope that they can buy their shares back cheaper.
Maybe you will buy them from them.
So I do not think you need to take issue with my comments, I think the prospects for Scancell are good should the cash from Redmile and Vulpes be used effectively.
I hope I've clarified my position.

There were a number of posters who were saying there would be great news in the AGM announcements. OK we had an RNS which shows the Company accepts that some corporate areas need bolstering.
But surely the message from the AGM is basically that although Scancell can move forward much more easily being lubricated with essence of Redmile, it seems very unlikely that there will be a great deal of tangible evidence of that move forward until 2021.
As a result many buyers who believed that 17th of November 2020 would be the day that all manner of exciting Immediate announcements would be made are likely to be substantially underwhelmed, and will possibly take their money away until next year.
However much it may seem daft to those who have been invested here since 2012 to others its a risk they feel they can take. Investors here will need to be patient once more. It's just that the facilities are in place to help Scancell to fly once they get the Data we, and they accept is the key to the shre Price surge.
So no, a soft share price short term doesn't surprise me too much. I simply hope (as I am sure we all do) that the weakness doesn't last too long! :-)

No I didn't because actions in my view speak louder than words.
When you think about it so much time has been wasted at previous (non virtual) AGMs by people asking questions which are either unanswerable by the BoD or so complicatedly scientific that there's been very little of use to come out of that forum.
I now believe that the best thing the BoD can do is get on with what they have to do and let the results of those actions drive the SP.
I believe many shareholders have had enough of deals just around the corner and collaborations that simply evaporate over the years.
So, no i didn't ask a question this year. :-)
I want to see the change in the Commercial side of the Company now. Prof Durrant has put the IP in place, over now to the Financial Officers..... Their chance to show what a dynamic pretender to BioNtech's crown (as I read about on this BB) can achieve.
