Even if they didn't qualify as voting shares(and I believe they do) Redmile can do quite a lot in the market with those shares. They cost Redmile 6.2p. Plenty of room for manoeuvre.

Miavoce, isn't it 75% of votes rather than linear numbers?

I cannot see any reason why the Redmile converted shares from the first raise are any different from voting rights now than those that Vulpes converted. there weren't any restrictions on their use at offer or issue that I can see.

If there were sufficient shares to support Vulpes in a vote, and Redmile was defeated, they're only in for 6.2p on those they just converted. They are transferable so that is dangerous, quite apart from the shares they picked up in the first investment. Wouldn't fancy hacking redmile off, they can make life very,very difficult (while still maintaining control).

I too thought the discussion was over but I saw your 20.34.
I think we'd better agree to differ, but to illustrate my point you seem to have quite a bee in your bonnet about the fate of the Vulpes holding and a new Institutional Investor having been lined up to take their holding, so as a bedtime treat here's a few more of yours from the last few days illustrating my points.
It's only fair to put them here because they are so convincing to a relative newcomer like me. Maybe I should learn to take less notice of oft repeated messages, and perhaps you'd agree? Have a look and see if a less experienced investor than you might think you were trying to make a point! :-)

Whatever Vulpes decide to do, they will walk away if that is their choice with a load of money, another big name seem set to come in.

That is of course IMHO, dependant on whose birdies one takes note of..

. There is more interest in Scancell than you would ever believe. Let events unravel and this is not the first time that any company has a situation where shareholders become unalligned with one another. Indeed there stake could become very useful to a further investor.

i can't claim to have the depth of knowledge that the years here have given you, but as a stalwart of the forum to me anyway, you seem to be posting with a nod and a wink to the idea that Vulpes ho;lding will attract a new significant investor. Why wouldn't they simply keep their investment and wait for the shares to rise on the back of Redmile's funds and influence? They have a significant holding (enough to make some very jittery about the vote for Redmile's Convertible Loan Notes) as well as an investor base to service. How would it look if they were to sell their entire holding at say 15p only to watch it significantly increase within, say , two years? Ok they might have to wait for twenty odd months to see their planets align but however you dice it it must still be an attractive investment for them given the time and effort they spent in their research over seven years. UNLESS there's something they see that others don't. Vulpes were being spoken of on this forum as the answer to all Scancell's prayers until Redmile appeared. In fact i must remind you that you did say that Redmile was Vulpes' plan B (although you did summarily ditch that Idea quite recently) and you put me in my place over that :-).
After Redmile's first tranche you felt that was the case I'm sure. Apologies if I'm wrong.
We all have ideas and theories but I must return to your implied superior knowledge on the issue of the new investor waiting in the wings.
In some ways I hope you're right, although it was not the first idea that I thought of as a way out of what might have been an impass. Only time will tell, but in some ways I hope that you are wrong not because I want to crow if it happens, but it's something which I think might be a little difficult to explain away should there be an RNS detailing the transfer of Vulpes' holding to a new Institutional Investor. That viewed in the context of your posts It might just be one of those very creative ideas that it might have been better not to have had in the first place.

I understand the idea of using chit chat but your posts on the liklihood of a buyer being introduced to take Vulpes shares seem peculiar to you and come with the sort of language that suggests a knowledge that others don't have but you do. when someone makes a statement such as,

that looks remarkably like someone who's heard a whisper, because if not what's the value in that statement? I'm sure you have a following, and lets face it I've read your posts and taken the content in, but that's a responsibility in its own right. So what made you make that very persuasive comment?
Do you still feel that that will be the outcome?

Crumbs you're kind, Thank you. But I've just posted back to Ray Pointer who is also helping but it was really Chelsea7 I was asking earlier. It is good to see a lively and good humoured debate.

That's why I originally tried to discuss this with Chelsea7 but you and Crumbs came along and Chesea7 stopped.
It's kind of you both to assist but as you can see the three way conversation is taking up a great deal more space than two people's exchanges. What I can't grasp is that you feel that Vulpes will maintain their holding yet you are involved in a discussion about a possible significant new investor from a sale of the holding that you say won't happen.

Crumbs you mention that Chelsea7 has stated that his suggestions are not from the BoD and are obtained from market talk. Can't find either of those statements, but the rather insistent idea that there's another waiting to take the shares en bloc are there. I feel I should be exchanging with C7 but you seem to have taken up the arguments for him.

For the purpose of an intellectual excercise let's assume that it is Vulpes.
That would be fine, but Vulpes have been watching Scancell for seven years which was held up as the reason when they originally invested why Scancell is such a prize, and why Vulpes were the saviour of the Company.
If Vulpes (or any other Shareholder or group of shareholders) are now going to vote against (not abstain) and forgo a glittering prize in due course, doesn't that make their postion seem strange when they must perform for their own investors, and all they have to do is sit and wait for the rewards? That was the basis of my original question to Chelsea7. But if they are going to sell out (for no given reason) , how do you know that there's a buyer for Vulpes holding? Scancell was one of 20 odd candidates for their investment. seems they drop promising investments easily. So why the insistence from Chelsea7 that there will be a buyer waiting to take their holding? He seems very certain.

I mentioned what I did because you firstly state that it is Vulpes who dissent. How do you know?
You have also heavily intimated over a number of days that the overhang from a sale of Vulpes' holding will be snapped up by a new investor.
Anything along the lines of suggesting noone should worry about the fate of the Vulpes holding should it come to market suggests that you have information on that matter. It was not posted with any reservations, it was on a "watch this space" basis.
That suggests that you know more than the average investor, and it was written with authority from a long standing poster on this BB.
So if your opinion is valuable, and I have no reason to suppose otherwise, it seems a shame that ou feel you need to resent my words.
