I am only asking whether you could help out with the reasons for the downgrade...? I only ask as Strong Buy and Buy are different headers on Brokers recommendations and carry a different meaning. Thanks for helping me out.

Thanks WeTookPelham but does this represent a downgrade because I seem to remember it was a Strong Buy last week and yesterday? I was trying to understand the reasons. Maybe Chelsea 7 can explain it for me so I can understand next time. Thanks .

Surely a sale of 100,043 shares from a managed fund is completely insignificant in the overall scheme of things when looking at Scancell's daily trading volumes recently?

Chelsea 7 I thought I had a grasp of how to read charts but your comments are very sage. Have you been using TA for long? You should write a daily Blog, maybe you could put up a pre market daily analysis.

Stakis you are probaly right. Far too sensitive for my own good.

I think it might be OK to think that if you buy now you increase your avaerage. I guess that anyone very close to their breakeven price now sees things a little differently, and maybe we should think about how they feel.

I'm sorry for having joined a discussion about risk. I'm sorry for having made people stop reading and also for making the forum so boring. I must be very sad because I read up on risk before i started buying shares.

Chelsea7 I don't think that risk is a personal thing. There are specific risks when investing in any type of investment. Those risks are accepted and many professional Investors/Funds have strict risk parameters. Thats why many professional funds are not allowed to invest in companies like Scancell until they grow in Market Capitalisation/Marketplace. Risk Management is an industry in itself and maybe that's why the due diligence carried out by Vulpes and presumably Redmile is a useful pointer for those invested here, but I don't think it makes Scancell shares any less risky.

Falsedawn, I would suggest that there's a greater risk when the market is closed. If you cannot sell your shares and the Company announces price sensitive news (either good or bad) until the market reopens you are not in control of your ability to disinvest, and when the market does open at what level will the shares be traded?
I do wonder if a better way of looking at risk at a very basic level is to try and list the differences between investing in Premium Savings Bonds and Scancell. There are inherent risks in both.

RuckRover, I thought Knowlesi was being positive too. It is a shame that discussions seem not to be possible without terse replies and references to history. I will wait and see if the thread (including my post) gets taken down.

WeTookPelham, I'm sorry but I've been here before. I think it was my fault that the question of Not for Profit started. It was in reply to a post which said the AGM would hear a lot about Covidity. I thought the replies were moderate and completely OK. I'm sorry again for having created a problem. Maybe my post will now be deleted?

Thanks Ray Pointer. As you say there is a need for information on all aspects of Scancell's business. This is part of the aim of an AGM I believe.
Hence my comment about the company's platforms as a whole.
The question of Not For Profit is significant.

Ray Pointer. I think I would like the emphasis to be on our three platforms which we hope will be moving forward this year and next. Covidity is important but would Scancell be making any money from it? Are we in it on a no profit basis?

Krafty 1305, I think because the share has massive volatility which is very good news for traders. It seems that it has been a trading stock for a very long time. Lots of announcements and hype. Scancell seems to have kept itself below the radar up until recently. Perhaps lots of announcements here will attract even more traders than we have now...
