It seems to me that Redmile's investment is now the keystone in Scancell's overarching funding and can in no way be described as Scancell's US strategy. From what's been posted and from scancell's history, under John Chiplin there was an identifiable US strategy and that is now long dead and buried.

Burble, have you ever thought of teaching? The post this morning has told me more about matters related to Scancell and the science than anything before. I will read again, but it makes a bit of sense rather than gobbledygook.

Burble, I've read the chain of posts and they have become rather acrimonious, but only on only one side. Thanks for allowing that imbalance to continue. It allows us to see what true humility is and what a trained scientific mind can achieve under the greatest provocation.

Thanks Crackin,That's good to hear. So when there was talk of the Americans buying on the way up it was wrong? It did makes sense in the way the share price moved, but thanks for your help in understanding.

It was because when we were going up it was said that the Americans woud be buying, so as we seem to be coming down I wondered whether they might now be selling. It seems to have been a silly question, sorry .

Because when we were starting to go up a few days I read that there was the likelihood of US buyers being involved at lunchtime onwards.

I did ask a similar question yesterday, but do we think thatAmerica might sell some shares when they start the day? I only ask because I think there was some talk of America buying when we were going up.

I know that the question of American investors have been buying lately. Does anyone think that there will be selling later on from across the pond?

One thing I noticed over the last six months or so was the increase in Offers that Scancell displayed. Whereas at one time there would be fewer than 50,000 shares at any one price even before the last Cash raising it was not uncommon to see 200K+ offers available , sometimes from morning to the close. I think there was quite a lot of divesting in Scancell in large amounts of shares. I have been looking closely at Scancell since May and if you look the Daily Market, volumes have risen quite significantly since late April. There were some significant sales in the 5 to 6.5 levels, so a lot of shares changed hands.

Sorry to ask again, but if people are saying that they think the prospects for Scancell are much better than they were why is there an argument?
It seems to me that anyone who is in profit is happy whether they bought at 5.5p a few weeks or averaged down to 13p over years. there must be many recent buyers who have massive percentage profits already.
Why does it matter what has been said in the past, The company looks set fair now and everyone seems happy that that's the case. If people change their minds and are buying and the share prices goes up that's good, surely?

The positives now outweigh the negatives in my view. The price rise yesterday seems to support that idea.

The announcement of Redmile's involvement - Significant US Bio Fund with a history of successful investments.
The Covidity Government Gunding Award - Greater and wider publicity leading to more interest.
Possibly the holding of the Oxford vaccine trial. Not a done deal as some thought - what else is about?
The increased Volumes and trade sizes - further profile building.
The significant Off Exchange trades appearing in the last few weeks.
The success of recent Fund Raise.
The prospect of Trials taking place where costs are covered.
The prospect of early deals re Advidimab.
The prospect that new Investors adveriise other Investors to buy in.
Fear of missing out at low prices (so many new investors 9or traders) try to buy few shares available.
Wider Market Sentiment for Scancell is detectable which has not been in eveidence before... Possibly Through Covidity.
All above make me think that Sentiment has changed an that's why to me the share is now much more attractive an investment than it has been for many years.
I have probably missed a few things but if trial data is good that's likely to be the time when the real benefits will show.
Everything above is subject to success in data production. I also remember Burble saying how difficult it is to get products to market. I respect that view, and try to keep it in sight when I get a bit carried away on days like yesterday!

Chelsea fair comment, but I was trying to compare and contrast the posting styles of two different people who are attempting to attain the same goal.

Ray Pointer, I know what you're saying, but Burble's expalnations incorporate "pictures" that I can understand, and he seems to have a wide ranging grasp of his subject as well as the difficulties companies like Scancell face in the marketplace. BUT he's Non Partisan and if that continues makes him an ideal poster for people like me who don't want to argue but try and learn from what appears to be a well researched and helpful poster.

I think that Burble has the intellectual capacity to more than make a case.I certainly think he brings with him a whole new perspective to Scancell's science, and he does it in a way which I can (sort of) understand and he seems to be non partisan. Maybe that's why he seems to be universally considered to be a truly respected poster.
