RE: Johny B-131 Oct 2021 12:45
Good to see a bit of rational discussion start up following Ruck's earlier question.
Irrespective of where the shares from the LD "recognition of past work" ended up (which has in itself been a very good indicator of RM's demonstrable commitment), there remains the question of ,
"why now"?
I am intrigued to understand why it was necessary to "pay off" our New CEO at a time when the Shareholders are more than interested in hearing what's actually going on in the Good Ship Scancell. In that connection surely it would have been sensible to announce the date of the AGM (however far away the intention to hold it is) at the time of the publication of the Y/E results.
So the old CEO has gone, The new CEO has been rewarded for past efforts and the Shareholders are continuing to wait (whilst wondering what's next).
Hasiba has made the point that Investors should be aware of all aspects of the information which is available to interested parties and that is (IMO FWIW) a very good thing to bear in mind. In fact Hasiba made cautionary noises the other day where he says that,
"One charting site changed its stance from stay long to short the stock..!
On technicals we may see a short lived blip rise but the general trend for now is downwards…
It’s what it’s in the short term ,it seems and the market reaction yesterday is relevant..
Lth may take a different views…one can understand this too…
Any positive news or rumours would be greatly appreciated this year.."
He follows this with the comment that all investors should be aware of all Market dynamics and that is also sensible.
I am not Hasiba's greatest fan, but I know he has support from many (including C7) so I feel happy to quote him here without fear of contradiction - or being accused of being in any way partisan.
I reckon the RM takeup of LD's shares is a positve.
I think that the BOD largesse in allowing the movement of more than (?) 6.5M shares is strangely timed.
Before I saw JohnnyB1's post about that I saw the extension of the CLNs as bearish (short term) but that was tempered by the JB1 post.
I believe that Data is the key to future positve SP movement.
So I hold for the longer term, but I also believe the AGM (or any previous anoouncement) can't come soon enough to give the more enquiring shareholders something to allow them to consider the future of their continued commitment to Scancell because at the moment there's precious little to go on.
I don't believe that all holders here are disinterested in what the share transfer to LD was all about. Why shortly after the departure of CH was it necessary to demonstrate the BOD' s desire to reward her for past efforts? I believe I (as a shareholder) have a right to know.
If the radio silence from Scancell is about a substantial positive financial inflow to the Company, OK I can sort of understand, BUT if there's nothing of substance to report at the AGM I believe there's been an error of judgement on how to communicate.
