Nothing's gone wrong. Things have worked out as the university's wanted and lobbied for, plus probably handed out a few free doctorates to leading politicians, "Any chance a law could be brought in.....?".

I would expect the membership of local golf clubs to have increased significantly, while the handicaps of various paid university workers will have fallen too.

Until people in this country start displaying their justifiable anger at the universities it will continue. Indeed, other countries watch what happens here and rush to copy, they all want to make the rich richer.

Whatever happened to angy students? Are they too poorly educated by the universities to know that they should be angry at a conspiracy to bare-faced robbery?
