You've got to laugh. He only turns up on non-blue days. Why would anybody do that other than to talk it down because they want to buy in as low as possible? I don't know how many chances he has had and it would seem he has wasted them all. You can't help some people. Mainly because they are stupid enough to think they are more clever than everybody else when that is the last thing they are.

As I suspect you know, he is obviously hoping people look quickly and make the mistake of thinking, "Oh good, here is that intelligent chap who always makes valid, worthy and credible comments."

Look for the loudest trousers, (Do you "look" for loud trousers, or do you hear them?) the highest score and the biggest gob, you've found him! Probably driving a 70's MkII Ghia Capri, yellow with a vinyl roof.

God, was it that long ago? Good memory there, Boombangabang. You have certainly identified the "professional" I was referring to.

Anybody who wasn't..... should have been on the Quindell board. Toxic? I've seen little like it.

That was nasty and was regularly polluted by a well known professional "tipster", who should not have been there, this is not for professionals, and I got suspended for a week for always ticking, "Strong Buy"!!

I was flabbergasted.

The professional tipster was the same bloke who Rob Proctor stood up by going to China instead of attending a "forum" in his pizza bar one night.

Rob sent a proxy, the tipster was unimpressed, and showed it a few times on these pages with some of his usual commentary.

All from memory and covering quite a number of years.

I think genuine, mature traders are people who fully understand how the markets work and have no problem with those who use alternative methods for gain. They are also man or woman enough to know that they will incur losses, as well as profits, and take it all in their stride because they can take responsibility for their own actions.

However we don't have those, we have aggressive spivs who seem to think the world owes them a living. Nothing wrong with biting back, IMO. I find it difficult to believe the age claimed by one here. Just too brattish. You don't reach that age with that attitude. Events educate you and you know better.

Perhaps certain posters spend considerable time getting up "Dutch courage" in liquid form before posting their nasty and frequently dishonest comments here. That could explain some of their open nastiness.

BTW, It is my opinion that we all have one agenda, to make money. We just use different methods. Genuine traders and investors understand that.

All have the same agenda, to make money. There are different ways to do it. The grown ups understand it.

I wasn't being specific about this board. I was talking financial press in general. Although I am not surprised that you can't understand such complex issues. Need to get an education.

And in actual fact, your selling will not always bring the price down, especially if more people are buying. That's how the market seems to work.
