Hi everyone - have a look at this video from Oz Minerals form their new mine at Carrapateena. This is the mine that Hydrogen posted the video link of the box-cut yesterday.

It looks like it may be an exact blueprint of how Havieron mat develop over time. They have a similar situation where they have a higher grade section at the top of the deposit and a bigger lower grade section underneath. The decline has been sunk to the orebody and they are currently mining the top section using a sub-level caving method.

At the same time they are continuing with the mine infrastructure to create a block-cave at the the bottom of the ore-body and eventually they will begin to extract the ore from the the bottom. They will create multiple levels to extract the ore efficiently (similar to what Newcrest do at Cadia now).

Then they have discovered other ore deposits in the vicinity (sound familiar) that they will be able to develop by just creating a horizontal connecting tunnel that would enable them to use the decline and all the crushing / conveyor equipment from the original deposit.

Can anyone see the possibilities that Havieron will create for Newcrest - what if those cores from the Artemis drilling come back with decent grades, what if we discover than the Eastern breccia expands, what if they find more mineralisation at the Apollo and Atlas targets to the North of us.

The story at Havieron has a long, long way to go yet before we even look at possibilities like Scallywag, Parlay, Goliath, etc, etc.

Well it looks like the clearing permit has commenced from yesterday without any appeals being lodged so Newcrest are free to begin whenever they like.

The only question now is will they start immediately or wait until after the Christmas break to hit it with renewed vigour.

I bow to your construction expertise Bamps, but I think the decline will be in quicker than that. I think they need to be into the ore to carry out bulk trials before they can produce the PFS and that has been slated for the end of 2021.
Newcrest have beaten every time schedule that they have put on this project up to now and I can't see them failing as we go forward either.

I'm hoping that there will be plenty to report on between Havieron, Scallywag and the Juri JV over the coming months.

Well yesterday didn't quite go as people had envisaged but in reality who cares. It's another staging post on the journey not the final destination.

I've been doing a bit of digging this morning and found this supporting document submitted with an application for a de-watering facility at Havieron - it's amazing what you can unearth if you spend time doing some research instead of *****ing at each other - sorry but sometimes this board winds me up.

I know it's only indictive but as you said with the experience of 1000's of metres of Havieron core and then the results from Minalyse then they would be pretty confident and excited - I know I certainly am.

Anytime Joe - when I heard GH say "minalyse" it just seemed like a strange word, wasn't sure if it was just the accent but when the web search showed up that website it all made perfect sense.

Just remains to be seen now when the assays come back to verify what they undoubtedly have seen from the XRF scanning,

I was listening to the AGM presentation again last night and heard GH at about 18mins in say - we send the core to "minalyse" to get the cores scanned before we send them to the labs.

I presumed he was talking about the Longyear Boart system that NCM have on site but he definitely said minalyse. I searched the web and lo & behold Minalyse is a company that provides a similar scanning system to the one that NCM use on site at Havieron. Here's a link to their webite.

It says that Au is detectable using their XRF scanning system so I'm guessing that the team have a very good idea of what to expect when the Scally results come back.

Certainly been a year to remember but those words of GH are still ringing in my ears "This is just the beginning". I think quite a lot of people on here are starting to see the "big picture" when it comes to Havieron but the general market is still scratching it's head and thinking that what's happened and what's about to happen can't be true.

If naturally conservative Berenberg and Jonathon Guy are seeing 12.5Moz from the current drilling then God only knows what this is going to grow to over the next 12 months.

If the assays from Artemis come back in January showing decent mineralisation then what chances that we will see NCM start to probe that area to the East - remember the Artemis drilling id literally on our boundary.

And all this just from the 12 blocks of Havieron - so happy to be invested in this absolute beast of a share, roll on 2021.

I'll tell you what it does do, it proves that the exploration model looks promising, 3 holes and 3 hits.

Be interesting to see what they turn up at Apollo and Atlas to the North of us when they drill up there next year.

Also if Artemis are turning up mineralised cores to the East of us then has that shortened the odds of Scallywag containing some goodies too.

2021 is shaping up to be a great year in the Paterson all around.

@firstmodern - I've been in GGP for over three years and if I was selling into this (which I'm not because I have a brain) then I wouldn't be advertising the fact. I can tell you am am holding onto all my shares. I already said I wouldn't mention the name of the company on here again but I gave my reasons for investing there and it was a punt on a recommendation from a friend who I trust implicitly.

I wouldn't have mentioned it here at all only somebody else invested there decided to inform the board here.

Sorry if that explanation is not sufficient for you but hopefully over the past 3 years I have built up enough credit with the regulars here that my word is good.

Definitely a bit of a strange day today - no real volume compared to Monday & yesterday, either the Appointed Person has the shares in the bag for the GDXJ or else there will be a hell of a lot more buying done tomorrow & Friday. It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out one way or the other

I don't know for certain but I feel that CB will be around for a long time yet. Most people saw GH as the mainstay of GGP and I guess since he came in that is true but Callum has been at GGP since the day the company started so in some respects it is more his baby than it was GH's.

Also Callum realises that Havieron & hopefully Scallywag are a geologist's wet dream - he said that a geologist could go through their whole career and not encounter a hole like HAD005 ever - he is seeing holes like that every 6 months.

@Scooby - I have been in ECR for about 8 months now. I was recommended them by a trusted friend and got in without doing any real research. I was really just hoping that the JV would happen and I would have been out of there with a quick profit.

I won't be posting much on there until I get an opportunity to look into them in a little more detail but everyone seems to be making the right noises about the company and it's prospects and it's beginning to look a little more like a LTH for me now.

Still comes nowhere near to my position in GGP and contrary to what others might do, I won't be top-slicing any GGP to put into ECR. I'm in at a low enough average here to not need to worry about GGP having to bag - every 1.5p it goes up is a bag on my investment here so I'd be mad to put it anywhere else.

Very happy to report that I am definitely sitting on my hands on ECR also.

This is my first post on here and probably be my last for a while as I haven't had the time to research ECR to the level where I would be happy posting. I was recommended it at about 0.8p and have been holding it ever since.

Originally I was thinking about 5p after a JV was announced and I would be out but the more this is developing then it's looking more like another LTH for me.

Also remember folks the date for appeals against the granting of the environmental permits expires this Saturday the 19th.

Once that is in place we should see the first bucket drop on the start of the excavations for the box-cut shortly afterwards - probably after the Christmas break. Then we have the next quarterly set of results from Havieron at the end of January and the small matter of the Scallywag results somewhere in between.

Wow - what a company and a share to be invested in. 2020 has been a ****e year for lots of reasons but GGP has certainly saved the day for her loyal and dedicated shareholders.
