I haven't kept up very well with the proceedings today as was quite busy at work and don't fancy scrolling through pages & pages of dross. Keep up the good fight mate - it's simple maths at the end of the day.

The geological complexities and grades are the unknowns now but at the speed NCM are travelling we will have a good handle on that over the coming months.

Back home after a hectic day at work and trying to keep up a bit with developments on here but failed miserably. I've been having a little think about the MRE and what they based it on - the pictures in the JORC section of the GGP website explain it very well.

You can see on the plans the sections circled in black that have been used to determine the initial MRE. I was having a bit of a think about any other way to describe it - how does this sound.

We know they used an overall tonnage of 54Mt to assess the MRE so why don't we work backwards from there to get a rough idea of the dimensions of the deposit that they would have used.

So if we divide the 54Mt by the specific gravity figure of 3 it will give us the cubic metres - this works out to 18,000,000m3.

The cubed root of 18,000,000 is roughly 262 so we can surmise that they assessed an area of 262 x 262 x 262 in order to come to the MRE. Now we know that the ore-body dimensions have been widely described as roughly 650 x 350 x 1000 - if you work that out it is over 12 times the size that was included in today's MRE.

I will happily admit that the higher sulphide grades were used in the MRE and we wouldn't expect to see the same average grades of 2g/t Au & 0.31% Cu across all of the ore-body but it clearly shows the potential that Havieron still has and this size above doesn't include for any extensions due to the Eastern breccia, any extensions to the NW and any more extensions at depth where it is still open.

Happy as the proverbial sandboy with my investment and even though my paper loss today would make most people's eyes water, I won't be parting with any of my GGP shares for a long time to come.

GH is a very astute businessman and he confirmed there were multiple offers on the table when he inked the agreement with NCM.

I can 100% guarantee you that he selected the NCM deal because it was the best solution for GGP and it's shareholders.

Again as a LTH here, personally I couldn't be more thrilled with the progress, remember it's only 18 months since NCM started drilling at Havieron. Within the next 18 months where will we be.

Your original post went on about dilution - how in earth's name were GGP ever going to discover what is in the ground at Havieron without doing a farm-in / JV deal with a major. I'm completely at ease with the deal that has been done.

Newcrest have done very well - they are happy, GGP have done very well - we are happy. What's not to like.

I don't think any sensible LTH was expecting anything over 5Moz in this initial estimate - in fact it was re-iterated on numerous occasions that the MRE would only contain JORC compliant drilling on the SE sulphide zone. I think people fail to understand that this ore-body is over 400m below the ground and to achieve the level of resource that they have in the time period is nothing short of remarkable.

I'm very happy for us to be trading around the 30p mark - ready for the next impetus. I also think the drilling update has gotten completely overlooked in all the furore over the MRE - some more fantastic hits in the Northern Breccia - which would have been well received on a normal set of results.

Onwards and upwards - the MRE is published and out of the way now, we have multiple upgrades of the MRE to look forward to over the coming year as they work towards the PFS. We have the start of the box-cut and decline. We have 2x drill rigs on the Juri JV from March/April next year and we will have a drilling plan for our own 100% Scallywag to be released probably when we get the maiden drill results from there.

What a morning to be up to your eyes in it at work - haven't even had a chance to listen to GH yet.

It's the same old story - can't blame anyone who was prepared to take the risk and trade it but too stressful for me so no change to my strategy. We all knew this was an initial resource and we all know it will grow substantially over the coming weeks & months. We all know Scallywag is coming in the near future, we all know the GDXJ rebalance will be announced tomorrow.

End of the day you pays your money and takes you chance - I'm happy to sit it out and listen to the real experts namely NCM & GGP who are over the moon with this MRE and are moving heaven & earth to carry on at speed.

I'm very happy with the results and it is a solid start that gives us a fantastic position to start from. Interestingly it shows the Hannam estimate was pretty much bob on at 3.4Moz - it will be interesting to see what their broker update will include as they said they have a stab at a bulk mining valuation.

Expecting to see some more definition of these breccia zones tonight hopefully. We only had results from 2 drill holes into the Eastern Breccia in the last report - I'm expecting some more from here, if they are anything like the first two then tomorrow could be very exciting.

Growth drilling from two drill holes has identified an exciting new target area termed the “Eastern Breccia”. This drilling is encouraging as it highlights the potential for a new region of breccia development not previously recognised and extends
ineralisation externally to the Crescent sulphide mineralisation.

? Significant results from the initial two drill holes include:
o HAD083 returned 134m @ 1.4g/t Au and 0.04% Cu from 1529m, and 98.2m @ 1.9g/t Au & 0.14% Cu from 1677m Including 41.1m @ 3.7g/t Au and 0.1% Cu from 1723.9m, and
o HAD084 returned 342.2m @ 2.0g/t Au and 0.11% Cu from 1536.8m, including 14m @ 19g/t Au and 0.20% Cu from 1572m.

Also HAD084 had an intersection of 637g/t over 0.3metres from 1577.5m

@zoros - re: your 12.02 agree with both points.

We will get the Hannam update after the MRE has been released and they confirmed their update would include a bulk mining option - therefore we should see some effort at quantifying the breccia (looking forward to that one)

As soon as they hit the ore body - they will be trucking that ore to Telfer for bulk trials and metallurgy tests - they will be producing gold and copper from those trials so in theory we will be generating an income of sorts from then on. Commercial production is 2/3 years away but plenty to do before then.

That couldn't have gone much better IMO - considering we didn't have the shot in the arm of an early release from NCM or the Scallywag assays then I'd say the presentation was a tour de force.

I said a little earlier but the one thing that struck me was the relaxed, chilled nature of the presentation - I noticed on the interview after the Juri JV that he seemed a little on edge and seemed to be reading from a script - perhaps he was a little worried as to how the market would perceive that announcement.

Well today GH was back on form - like a lion king prowling around his pride - he oozed confidence and I think both he and the board are genuinely looking forward to the prospects that the next 12 months will bring to the company and by default to us shareholders.

I consider myself to be very lucky to have stumbled across this company a little over 3 years ago - watching it bloom has been a pleasure and a privilege and guess what "it's only just the beginning".

Oh - how I wish we were all heading to the local boozer for a few sociables to celebrate the proceedings.
