I've just seen that Newcrest are down over 2.2% again in last night's trading in Oz!!! Sandeep will be coming out with all guns blazing - I'm sure of it.

It's hard to pinpoint when or indeed if they have gone to 10 rigs. I thought on the last 2 'night' satellite images that it looked possible that there were 10 but I couldn't swear to it. There are unsubstantiated comments from DL that he had heard rumours that there were now 10 rigs on site - not long to wait for confirmation either way.

I like your wishlist for the announcement and concur with all of the above "open at" hopefully still depth & to the NW would be lovely phrases to read. I am super excited to see the results from the drilling around HAD042 to see if there is continuity in the 'high grade breccia' that Mike Nossal spoke about. It would be awesome if they mentioned in the report about moving to the south of the sand dune and the drilling they have been carrying out down there but I suspect that will come in the next update. Any news about the progress on permitting and planning for the decline would be good too.

All in all I am expecting more of the same from Sandeep and looking forward to GH's round of media on Thursday.

He was referring to the fact that the geology of the Havieron discovery is more than likely a dome feature (just like Telfer) and therefore it would extend to the NW until the other side of the dome is found IMO.

There is no presentation corradus - they only do those for the half yearly & full financial results. This report will literally just be that - a report released with accompanying soundbites included in the report & on Twitter.

They are every 12 days so I make the next one on the night of the 1st May so we'll see it on the 2nd May.

Next day time image will be Thursday but I imagine that might be second on the list of news to digest that morning lol.

Can you tell me what settings did you use in the custom filters to get it to look that sharp please??

Hey tom_the_bomb - looks like a couple of good spots to me. The two to the south of the sand dune look like ones we have already spotted but the one in the "original" SW zone definitely looks like another one in that congested area and the second one that's slightly NW of that one looks to be new also, If you look at the road to the north the hole is slightly to the West of it whereas the one from 5 days prior was further East.

100% agree Spratt - I've been saying for weeks that Newcrest are months ahead of us. At present they are probably 12 weeks ahead of us and will still be 6/7 weeks ahead of us when we get the results on Wednesday night.

Why can't people see this - they are that far ahead of us and are still accelerating and stepping-out at a furious pace - OK it's not 100% conclusive evidence but it's pretty damning circumstantial evidence of where this is going to end.

kempey - 'fair value' relates to the value of the gold in the ground IMO - I don't think it's got anything to do with the GGP SP.

If they weren't going to "BIG" it up then they've set the wrong precedent up to now. If they announce more exceptional assay results and then try to play it down what message will that be sending to their own institutional investors?

I'm expecting more of the same from Sandeep - IMO.

Oh I agree that we won't get any assays or indications but just wondering if Sandeep might mention that they have discovered something else outside the initial zone? I wonder if it would be in their interests to "big" it up even more than before?
Here's hoping that SW corner will do all the talking that is necessary - as the document I linked yesterday shows they've had a minimum of 2 drills on that patch constantly since the end of November and they're still there now. That's a s**tload of concentrated drilling in one area - I'm guessing they are liking what they are seeing there.

Great to hear from you - everyone is waiting with bated breath now, looking forward to seeing the remainder of HAD042 and HAD039,043 and whatever else they have assayed from the SW corner.
Are you expecting them to mention the new drilling to the south of the sand dune they have ploughed through in this report or will that be in the June interims??
