At what stage will the FOMO kick in?

More than happy to stay flat for these few days running up to next Monday/Tuesday. I can't see us still being in the mid 7's by close of play next Wednesday.

Yes Dodge - I think 20p was bandied about but that was as a target for Christmas and hopefully very achievable provided the results & step-outs keep on coming.

I must say I am hyper excited to see what all that drilling in the SW corner reveals next week......

Hi l-a,
I'm hoping they will be similar to HAD042 which found high grade in the breccia and not the sulphide zone. I've been speaking to a Geo in Australia on email and he said these things are referred to as "over-prints" where multiple mineralising events cause the original mineralisation to be upgraded over time.

These were the reported results for HAD042 in the last update in March.

HAD042: 124m @ 3.9g/t Au, 0.21% Cu from 734m, including - 17.3m @ 19g/t Au, 0.62% Cu from 790.7m

If results like these were repeated in the breccia around the sulphide zone over good intervals then the contained ounces would multiple very quickly indeed.

Totally Spatt - we are waiting for the bottom of HAD042. HAD039 & HAD043 were already drilled and awaiting assays - so we'll get those also and I think we will get 3/4 more holes in that area also.

Also HAD039 & HAD043 were "fan" holes. If you look at the last report you can see both those drill trace lines had "forks" so I'm expecting multiple sets of assays from those holes and probably the new holes in that SW area also.

For anyone who hasn't heard this before - have a listen to Mike Nossal from Newcrest discussing the results from Havieron after the last interim report in March.
Pay special attention to the bit where he talks about the "new" type of high grade breccia mineralisation that they hadn't seen before and then understand that was from HAD042 which is in the SW area that now looks like swiss cheese.

Have a listen and ask yourself why Newcrest are peppering that area and why they have continued to step-out in that area since?

The thing is Stout - as much as we are anticipating this results and I'm sure it's going to be 7 from 7 stunning results - the next interims Mid-June will be just as interesting as we should start to see some results from the massive step-outs that we've been seeing over the last few weeks.

Newcrest are reporting their quarterly on the 30th April - GGP will be releasing their RNS on the strength of this.

Newcrest have had a few articles recently saying that they have not been affected by the CV-19 issues in WA at all so we are expecting their report as planned.

Lux - I asked the same question a while back to a couple of Aussies on Twitter and the overwhelming response was easily. Telfer can process up to 24Mt of ore per annum when both trains are running - by all accounts it's a beast.

At 2 g/t - they would need to process 7.5M tons to produce 500,000 ounces of gold. They could handle that and more.

100% schlemiel - there is another reason they are desperate for Havieron to become their new flagship development.

If Telfer were to become unviable and need to be decommissioned then that would leave NCM with only 1 operating asset in Australia. They could conceivably be considered to be more Asia/America's focused than their home country.

Make no mistake - Havieron and hopefully the remainder of the Paterson targets are inextricably linked with both Telfer and NCMs future and that can only bode well for GGP.

Thanks Tig - I am up and about early most mornings TBF. Working from home for the rest of the week so had a quick browse through the posts.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion but it riles me when incorrect figures are consistently quoted. I'm not an expert by any stretch but the figures are there in black and white in the latest reports.

Looking forward to a session on the black stuff.

Further more when they do transition to bulk mining they will be hopefully using the new methods that NCM are trialing now at Cadia which of successful mean a 30% reduction in the cost to develop the cave and a 30% reduction in the time also.

Remember Cadia produces at slightly over 1 g/t for an AISC of <$150 per ounce.

Telfer is going to become a massive cash printing machine for NCM (IMO of course).

Yuri - at least read the last quarterly report and look at Telfer's figures. Sure at one point they might have been mining the high grade figures that you quote but they are processing ore through there now at a head grade of 0.7 g/t.

They are breaking even or perhaps making a small loss but that's because they have hedged their production at Telfer and aren't seeing the benefits of the recent increase in gold prices.

Now the 60 million dollar question is what is the head grade of ore gonna be when NCM start stope mining the high grade from the top of Havieron? Even if it's only 2g/t (prepare to be surprised next Thursday IMO) that's a three fold increase from what they process now - what does that do to the AISC??

I'm guessing they will do selective mining to get the high grade whilst at the same time develop the block cave infrastructure to eventually transition to bulk mining. This is exactly the modern that Oz Minerals have proposed at carrepenta which I have posted links to before. See link to Twitter post below

Yeah - I was just trying to draw some thoughts out from him. Doesn't affect my mind when I make my decisions on GGP but whether you love him or hate him he is well connected in the mining industry in Australia and the guy has 10K followers on Twitter so the more publicity the better IMO.
