Sorry haggis, read an article stating their efficency, but it was comparing to the new German competition,and perhaps in a different car size class to the leaf and i3, it was a model y I think they were referring to, also the i3 and the leaf are in a different range class.

Teslas can charge from other charging points, Tesla chargers will only charge tesla cars, much like the very high power porsche charger.

I believe that in the early days tesla attempted to get other manufacturers to agree on standard (before they had invested heavily in their own standards) and they were rejected.

Wireless will need even more power from the local network as there are more losses in the system.

What's needed more than high capacity batteries is more efficient vehicles. Tesla currently rule the roost at around 4 miles per kwh, if that can be increased significantly then there would be less stress on the grid, but to do that you need to lighten the whole system, better batteries will help, and make the system lighter, but there limits, and this will inherently stress the distribution network.

SprogBarnes, whether they charge in an hour or in seconds, you're still pumping 100s of kW through a system designed for houses with an average of maybe 5 and a peak of 10 to 20. The distribution network would be even more stressed needing a buffer locally that charges slowly at say 50kw, and discharges at 500kw. But this then needs to be massively oversized so there's always fuel in the tank.

You'll still need to produce and store e as demand increases and decreases so you need medium to store something and convert it back to e. You also still have the problem that whilst this might fix generation it doesn't fix distribution which is where the problem lies, and world require ripping up most of the streets in the UK to fix. I see no problem here.

If scotland become independent then they'll be in a separate customs arrangement to us, and therefore there will be a customs border where it crosses, all you've done is prevent anything made in the UK from getting to scotland without customs involvement, and vice versa, and moved the border to a place with no water crossing.

F-Me Graeme just called... David's a technical resource associated with AFC, so he does exist, just not as an employee. I would infer that they may have more contacts than they can deal with. Estimation has gone up.

So to bring this back up again, I had a look for David Hatherill the initial contact point, oddly I can't find him on linkedin, the other chap Graeme that he copied in on the email seems to be Graeme Lewis the CFO.

I think we all agree here that it has the potential to be big, bandying numbers around like £50 is kind of pointless, they could hit £50 by doing a consolidation, they could do a lot of buying back and hit 50, they could truly reach a valuation of 50.

Dave 50 what? 50p? that's a pointless comparison, 50m Mcap, a better comparison but still not great they are not similar enough. It's like saying that Tescos' sells petrol at £1.19/litre, and comparing it to someone selling water at £0.70/gallon.

I do hope that you are not as new at this as you seem to be, was it you that said you'd gone 'all-in', please educate yourself as to risks.
