Victrex delivered an 18% jump in Q3 group revenue to £84.5m, powered by a 17% surge in sales volumes to 1,238 tonnes, as the high-performance PEEK polymer specialist extended the recovery momentum first evident in Q2. The composition of growth matters: Aerospace and Electronics were the standout engines within Sustainable Solutions, with aerospace flattered by a soft prior-year base when industry supply chain backlogs suppressed shipments, while Medical showed early signs of stabilisation after a prolonged destocking cycle. Average selling price held firm at £68/kg year-on-year, indicating that the volume rebound is not being bought through discounting — a critical read given persistent concerns over mix and pricing power in the PEEK market. Nine-month revenue is now up 7% at £231.6m on 10% higher volumes, framing a clear second-half acceleration. On the self-help agenda, the c.10% headcount reduction is largely complete, with £10m of annualised savings on track to land fully in FY 2027 and initial benefits visible in Q4; £10m of cash exceptionals remain guided for the current year. Net debt of £43.0m looks manageable following the £12m interim dividend outflow. Guidance for FY 2026 underlying PBT of £42m-£44m was reiterated, with management flagging normal Q4 seasonality, energy costs and macro demand risks as reasons for caution. Attention now shifts to the 24 September Capital Markets Event, where the medium-term profitability roadmap will be fleshed out.

Trading update…

Building nicely — Q3 volumes +17% and revenue +18% YoY, with Aerospace and Electronics leading the way and Medical showing some stabilization. YTD volumes are up 10%. Profit Improvement Plan is on track (headcount cuts largely done, benefits starting Q4, £10m+ savings targeted for FY27).

Full-year guidance (£42-44m underlying PBT) is maintained — no upgrade, but no cut either, which feels solid given the macro caution. September CMD should give more colour on the medium-term “Unlocking Victrex’s Potential” story.

Balance sheet remains decent, self-help is real, and PEEK growth story hasn’t changed. Any weakness still looks like a buying opportunity if you’re patient.

Shorts reduced again. Geo politics needs to stabilise to see some real volume buying into this by the value investors

Looks like the UBS downgrade did the holders a favour, (downgrade was a ridiculous 2.5% lol why do people pay these analysts!) Shorts reduced again, IMHO Biggest bargain in the FTSE 250 at present.

With a dividend maintained yield at 10%, patience is the better option for a longer term growth in share price.
