Bad luck I did not buy SanDisk after looking they shot up last hour as well seem to follow each other .

US chipmaker Micron reported strong results Wednesday to top off a multi-day tech stock whipsaw.

The company’s third quarter revenue beat expectations by more than 15%, as AI infrastructure demand remains insatiable. A “somewhat obscure” company last June, Reuters noted, Micron is now “a Wall Street darling,” CNBC wrote, thanks to the AI-fueled demand for memory chips that has lifted its valuation past $1 trillion; the company recently signed a supply deal with Anthropic.

Micron said it expects demand for memory chips to outpace supply through at least 2027. The firm’s stock price shot up in after-hours trading, but not enough to erase recent losses in a global tech rout driven by investors’ AI jitters.

Memory chipmakers Micron Technology and SanDisk , among the best performers on the S&P 500 this year, both fell around 13%.

Micron's earnings on Wednesday could offer clues on the outlook for the memory and AI chip sector after a searing rally this year.

Multiple analysts have adjusted their targets upward this month, with some targets now exceeding $1,500.

AMD, TSM, Broadcom, Micron, Sandisk, Monolithic and Filtronic are my tech stocks. Interesting times. The "big build out"as well as semiconductor memory is a highly recommended sector. This time next year Rodney...😊

I'm really keen on it, even at today's price the expected PE next FY is 8 ! It's a bit like Samsung a huge growth in memory chip costs ( future PE next year only 6.5 ! ) . It can't go on for ever but I'm confident to 2028/29 there will still be bottlenecks in Hyperscale ramp ups.... I've invested heavily in both Samsung/Mircron and a more riskier smaller amount ( ref a higher PE but even more predicted growth i.e. lower PEG's ) for both Sandisk and Western digital from the Memory chip side
