Thankyou WOracle, that is a very helpful summary. It leaves investors with a fairly modest holding, such as myself, to decide whether to sell now, at the current SP, or to wait until late next year, to get the dividends and takeover price. Or, of course, something in between those dates. What is your view on this ..... do you see a steady growth in SP from now to the takeover (with the usual wobbles around X-div dates) or do you see a "best bet" time to bale out, all things being equal? Tate & Lyle has today posted the Scheme Document for its recommended cash acquisition by US ingredients peer Ingredion, formally setting the clock ticking on a deal first announced on 8 June 2026 that will take the 165-year-old speciality food and beverage solutions group off the London market. The transaction is being effected via a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under Part 26 of the Companies Act, with the Court Meeting and General Meeting scheduled for 28 July at 5 Marble Arch, and the board unanimously recommending shareholders vote in favour, backed by fairness opinions from Goldman Sachs and Greenhill. The critical calendar detail is the timeline to completion: the Scheme is expected to become effective only during the second half of 2027, with a Long Stop Date of 8 December 2027, reflecting the weight of the Material Antitrust Conditions attached to combining two of the world's largest speciality ingredients platforms across the US, EU, UK and other jurisdictions. For holders, the near-term signal is one of certainty on the shareholder vote, given board irrevocables, but a protracted regulatory path that will define the true internal rate of return on the cash consideration. Attention now shifts to the antitrust workstream, where the scope of any required divestments, particularly across the enlarged sweeteners and texturants portfolios, will determine whether Ingredion can deliver the deal on its current terms without concessions material enough to disturb the recommended structure.

I watched a video last week and,the,fund manager of the lowlands fund was complaining about all the takeovers in her fund because it was difficult to replace them in this current market

Sparks yeah I get what you saying and did think about selling my self yesterday and I dont think another bid will come now but iam 95% certain the deal will go though, in these current markets many fund,managers will tell you at the moment stock picking his difficult so 8% gain in the next 9 to 12 months his,not bad in these current markets I get it that people were buying yesterday
