Most of those calling themselves "investors" here are behaving like children in a sandbox. Assuming that a company must share commercial information regarding its future, the negotiation of any contracts, or in this case, a potential agreement to divide and sell part of its assets, represents precisely this level of thinking. Most of this information is classified, subject to external oversight, or simply constitutes a trade secret. Owning a few shares in a company does not entitle you to demand the public release of any confidential information, especially before the end of the commercial negotiations. I recommend using your brain - if that's not possible, simply familiarizing yourself with the applicable laws. Patience is the base of every investment, and discretion is the foundation of every commercial negotiation. We're all tired of this situation, but some have been investing their money in ITV for many years. They should have learned patience as it long ago, and looking back on the past few years, we all should have trusted the management. This management and Dame saved ITV from bankruptcy, rebuilt trust in the company, and laid the foundation for the current discussion on the sale of its assets.
