Yep great news on ZYT today, still looking good for income and hopefully back on the growth trail again. I can't really get my head round today !! its a red letter day for me. I have a total 15 holdings & 3 of them are ZYT, EMG, and JUPITER FUND MAN. !!! There will never be another day like this for me sharewise quite exciting. Good luck to all ZYT holders hopefully there is more to come & I sincerely hope that for other share owners like me good things come in THREE's Lummox
Good news from company report today! Looks set to continue steady SP increase to 300+.
Browsing looking for possible additions and after reading through the posts wonder how the SP got from 192.50 in December to 249.50 today? Seems there is a failing in sales activity?
Poss contract with Sirius Petroleum SRSP for application to Nigerian oil assets
Wow.....what a buy....£1m.....someone is VERY confident ! Lennie
The Directors propose a final dividend of 6.35p (2012: 5.9p) payable on 14 March 2014 to shareholders on the Register on 28 February 2014, which increases the total dividend for the year by 7.1% to 9.1p (2012: 8.5p).
so few realise the full potential of this share, somebody will come along and snap this lot up before too long
Tipped by IC hence the positive SP rise today. I have also increased my holding again although fairly high risk owing to the small size of the company and short lead time for visible orders.
Please ignore the 1st "worded".
I thought the results were okay the trading statement could have been worded more positively worded but nonetheless the 10% fall seems well overdone a small top up is in order.
Also got wee jobby in here, for no apparent reason
Added to my position today the gradual increase in SP as it moves closer to the trading update on the 10/12 tends to be positive in my experience.
this company. I remember a while back when they were 220 thinking I should pick a few up.They then ran away from me. Came back to 160 and I bought a few. They are in a future looking business, pay regular divs and have quite a few II's on their holdings list.. They are small though and very illiquid so wild swings in the price do happen. Just look at their chart history. Anyway, lets hope for the best.
Thanks for that lets hope it continues to re-rate and comes out with a positive statement in Dec; with its small market cap the SP could react very favourably, obviously if it disappoints the reverse would happen.
my opinion is the fact that prior to the announcement of poor first half trading which was made in May, the sp was in the region of 300p! now we know the 2nd half has improved so my opinion is it is rerating - doesn't mean it will get too the same levels of 300p+ but you get what im saying I hope!
Bought this in Oct @ £1.93 as I felt it was cheap had a good product mix , progressive dividend policy, and the trading statement on 9th Oct was positive. The SP then slowly fell in small increments to £1.84 until today. Any body got any idea why the big bounce? not that I'm complaining.
interesting...........
Interesting!!! results due DEC 10..with improved performance compared to first half of year.
Some movement upward at last, seems to be no reason as to why though....
Paid this morning for any decent volume
still worth a punt at this low price
kingpin_z, When you first talked about selling (on the iii board) the price was 164.50, now we are at 193. As far as I know you do not have any shares of ZYT but you are certainly taking a great interest, trying to drive the price down? HH may well have an inside line and what you say may be true but for the moment my belief is that this has further to rise and a good div as well, which I have already benefited from. Thursdays rise was certainly dramatic, especially in the light of a heavy general fall in the market! HH may be selling the shares for all kinds of reasons which we are unlikely to ever know. Having been up to 370 last Oct we are now at the same price as 2005. I think the price already has a lot of downside baked in but if you are so confident of a big drop why not short the stock, you will be alone but nobody made money by following the crowd :-) DYOR
Sneaky after hours RNS stating that Hargreave Hale Ltd are unloading shares! With no solid sign of revival or confirmation from the company of any intake of major orders, there may be a few thresholds met yet. Don't worry though... some naive pi's will pick up some of the slack. From a late May update; - "Looking ahead, Zytronic said "the first two months of the second half has not seen any discernible improvement over the first half or progress over and above current levels." If there is no clear evidence of sales growth soon.... expect further sharp drops!
When taking into account they expect the full year profit to more than half compared to last year and by doing a very quick comparison from last year’s H/Y to the F/Y report it looks like this year’s full year’s profit is going to be around £1.2m which going on a P/E of 15 (which seems to be the norm here) would make fair price of around the £1.20p area. They do however have £4.6m in cash which easily covers the dividend that has also been increased. ZYT obviously have a great product, but unless they update with news of new contracts I think the SP will probably drift lower from here. It’s certainly an interesting share to be watching now ……….. riddler have you got a view on the SP from a technical point of view?
to see shareprice drop so much so fast
