Lousy business model, gimmicky approach to customers and now nowhere left to hide. Even American wine buyers can't be taken in indefinitely. All IMHO of course, others may see it differently.
Disruptive business model ! Hilarious who are they trying to kid ??
Lots of stop losses will be triggered today
The SP dropped so badly...
Spectacular growth and great future- is it priced in? The market will tell us later.
Is there a full year results announcement this Friday 11th June ? It doesn't say here but it says on the Naked wine official website.
We will find out more with year end trading update due this Thursday 15th April. Particularly interested to hear about US growth and market share.
bit quiet here?
And with Uber paying a fortune for a competitor -we are surely due a re rate or take over perhaps.
bit of a dip being seen at many shares ,might be people derisking with shares with lockdown
also gold prices moving up
Stateside is where all the action is!
Orders from the welsh must be pushing up the SP!
Great vote of confidence with half a million pounds purchase this afternoon, ensured we finished blue.
Great resuts and momentum for the future, esp. the US.
With an 80% increase in Revenue it was a real shame to still report a loss for the period.
I hope they remember that shareholders and the city like to see profits. It's not all about looking after the directors, customers and suppliers.
Still a long term holder.
Seems to have been a lot of volume lately but the share has arguably not gone far considering the volume. I have resistance around 485 and I think I'll wait for a confirmed break of that before buying back in again. Buying wine can be quite addictive. I myself like to see a full wine rack. Was thinking of purchasing a mixed case from either naked or Majastic to sample the product. Anyone any recommendations? Drank Eye Of The Partridge all day at my wedding after sampling, I don't how many, bottles of fizz before choosing that and Piper Heidsieck. Some of, them, expensive well know brands, were disgusting, didn't even drink the full bottle - take on. As well as Oeil De Perdrix, also tried a few Proseccos from Majestic that were good.
Hi
Is there any news on a dividend? Given the good results of last months, I think a dividend would be nice.
hoping most of sellers now cleared
some more buys showing again after the earlier sells
had hoped for blue here today
at least ncyt moving up again ,as it looking like people returning to covid shares again and sales update expected this week there
hoping wine might see a good blue week
and even a blue finish today
They're not listed (I think) but the two obvious players in the market are Laithwaites and Sunday Times Wine Club - both the same thing. I used to subscribe to their 3 monthly plans and although I've found some wines I liked and one wine particularly that cannot be beat and I buy time and time again over anything else, a lot of the wines are overpriced and mediocre in my opinion - although I am no means a wine buff. I have used Majestic myself, I ordered some pink champagne off of them which was devine, but when I look at the website their wine looks too expensive to me. I'm actually loving white wine at the moment but really, forgetting sweet wines, it all taste the same to me. I'll pick up something sub £5 in the supermarket and I'm normally happy with - and that's what they're up against. Red wine? I'm not so sure.
Thanks. on dividendmax, i saw that they have a small dividend 2 times a year. In 2019, they only had a special dividend, no regular dividends. I guess no dividend then for now.
I looked into the earnings report. It. is a growing company, still with debt but it has shedded a lot of weight woth the sal eof Majestic. Given COVid19, their sales went up. As such, I a m inlined to invest more. i am curious about other wine companies as well such as Virgin Wines to see how they compare to Naked Wines. AFAIK, NW is the most international one but if anyone knows other companies I should look at, let me know.
a nice move up today
Mr Cat - no mention of dividend = no change to the current position. So look in past RNSs to see if there was anything else than the "special dividend" of a few months back ("special" = it's a one off).
Look at the growth in profits, the way the business model fits the current covid situation, and whether the growth is mainly due to Covid or whether the business was already in a good place when Covid hit. Then look at a chart (probably daily) to see whether the SP is broadly in an uptrend. That should help you decide whether to invest or not.
New here on the forum and cannot start a separate thread it seems. My question: I have looked at today's earnings report and cannot find any dividend information. Is there gong to be a dividend or should I stay with the stock only for the capital growth? It is quite volatile and I was ready to sell after the earnings depending on what the dividend would be
Yeah, I saw that they changed it
