Stupmy. I think we all get buy low, sell high. (don't patronise) What we don't get, is where we get this simplism buy low, sell high crystal ball from, let us all know please? The next ride you catch could be down.
Be bold. Vod would not accept a bid for less than a £1, vod is worth far more, but you can't buy the whole of vod for the market cap share price, you have to pay much more. The sp is so low because nobody can afford to pay the real value price with % rates so high. Vod is risky, but we all know vod is worth far more than it's market cap.
Gutter, what's your pronoun?
It ain't goin up much so all you mugs hopping for a take over and 35% rise is gonna be verey dissappointted on Mondaye.
Besides, I has got a verey bad fealing abowt Mondaye...
Sold 2lots of 50000+ didn’t see the trade on here could even find them on the London Stock Exchange
Put a buy order in @ 63.5 so hope the rumours are false, sorry if that upset anyone but just business of trading win some lose some
Stumpy, I tossed that coin and it came up heads lol
Very exciting. I actually owned shares in Vodafone when they offloaded Verizon. To think that Verizon might be a potential suitor now is amazing.
George. the only time i have ever bought shares was in standard life years ago. what a turd that has been should have sold when they where over 5 pounds. only just opened an hl share account a few weeks back and been trying to pick out a few shares to buy and hold. bought jd sports . and looking at vod and a few others that have had a big fall in sp with view to holding for long term. or takeover. .
I'll wait, happy to miss it if it happens. It is just so important to buy low and sell high. Such a simplism, but no-one seems to get it.
If I miss voda (entirely possible), I'll catch another ride.
Same spike occurred on Vod on Nas , you can still buy there who's acc allow, currently $ 8.44 , just a thought, heard nothing on cnbc news its all nvida and Ai
Note luking goode AGANE for gutersyne.....
I hope you are right but every takeover I’ve had shares in have never doubled like you say ? Hope I’m wrong but normally 20% max from trading price, why would you bid £1 plus ? Happy to be wrong GLA
It wasn't so long ago same thing happened with Aviva then nothing.
PetePete
You don't come across as being new to this indeed you sound pretty switched on ...Either way Good Luck

Rumours do turn out to be true sometimes. Let's hope this one is!
Petepete. Go for it mate. 66p a bargain? I hope.
Daniel. yes but seeing as sp still only 66. still a good price. wanted to buy incase rumours are true . and would be happy buying at that price even if not true.
I wouldnt worry too much about the little rise as it will probaly open lower on monday due to high volume of sales and even the usa market has barely moved up.
Petepete. As you are new to this, I will just point out that you need to buy before the news, not after. You can't back a horse after it has won the race! Good luck though, but I hope it does open higher on Monday.
Bebold. look at currys share price rise.
A takeover bid would be nearer £1.50, people don't get the company for the price it is trading at today.
If these takeover rumours are true what would they bid ? 75p maybe ? That no good for me as my average is higher than 75p, I can’t imagine a company bidding £1 plus when our share price is 65p ish ??
Apparently Goldman Sachs, G.S. is involved. Could that be why G.S. has been de ramping vod to get a better price? Think about it! G.S.? (From the gutter press)
Shows i am new to this . been trying to catch the bottom of vod. then saw the rumours of take over. so tried to buy in but said market closed.. being new to this thought market closed at 5pm. just found out its 4.30. hope does not open higher on monday.
