Tamovv, Ref dividends on the figures you gave would mean 16c - 20c a share, a yield of 8 - 10% on the price I paid £1.45. Better then the average FTSE 250. I hold for the dividend or should I try selling and buy back when it dips 1.5% -2% from my sell price in between ex dividend dates
Sold 2lots of 50000+ didn’t see the trade on here could even find them on the London Stock Exchange
Put a buy order in @ 63.5 so hope the rumours are false, sorry if that upset anyone but just business of trading win some lose some
Sold up today at $14.1936 . We are getting less dividends €0.4667 ( last Year €0.4833) and we have got less share. Lost quite a bit but the SP is only going to go down again IMO. Like every body says DYOR and double check in my case.
Please correct me if I am wrong The Government own 33% of NWG (roughly 6461m Shares) Which at today share price is £6,461m (ish) Taking the dividend paid out in the last 5yrs the government would have received £4,800m in dividend. So they can sell the share get £6,461m and spend/waste it on god knows what or take the £1,000m or so dividend a year, in a couple or so more years the government would have its money back plus still have 33% of NWG To me would be a lot better for the British public Or am I being naive
Hi Da Matser Didn’t find your post arrogant educational more like it (I will take on broad all advice people give) but hope you are wrong about the dividend 😄.
Also you said about your 40% gain on RDW well down I can only dream/hope of that with my portfolio it would get me back in the black
The lesson I learnt don’t just see the £ signs do research and then more research
Hi Da Matser Thanks for the reply, Just have to wait and see how it plays out. I will give it 12/18 months then decide what to do, Its only a loss if and when you sell. I just saw the special dividend and bought in so I have learnt a lesson, hopefully the final result on the 22 Feb will be good news and a rise in dividend with there being 9/10% less share
Just Seen It a bit like Barratt And Redrow Yesterday. Should check things out first But with being £6500 (20%) down i was a little bit mad/frustrated.
How come DS Smith is up 10% and Mondi is down 5%
Allinadayswork, Thanks for the reply but hope you meant £15 not £13 as I need it nearer £16. I will have to wait to final result next month then see if I take a loss or hold
This is the worst share i have bought ( and I have bought quite a few bad shares) 20% down even with the dividend it will be down 10%+, just seems to go down every day. My fault just saw the dividend and bought in didn’t do enough research. Anyone else do the same
Hi Trotsky, Happy new year and hope you and the family had a nice Christmas. Just read your post of the 15th Dec and checked the 3 trust you mention AEI & TFIF look good, a silly question (Only silly when you don't know the answer ) The Fees and On going chargers do you have to pay them out of the dividend or is that already taken out. If you have to pay then the Dividend yield is less that what is stated.
Have only brought share before. Thanks, Hope 2024 is a good one for you but not as good as mine. ( Smiley face)
Sold my LGEN, PHNX & LIO share yesterday morning when all the share were up due to the BOE holding interest rates ( I Think) Hoping I can buy back when they come down. Didn't sell me VOD @ BAT share ( because over 15% down on them) Which share are down today, I'm not very good at this game. Just have to sit and be patience.
