Just to be clear, last night's news was that the UK cabinet office approved the prospective merger from a SECURITY point of view, there is still an outstanding CMA review looking at the merger from a COMPETITION standpoint. Nevertheless, it is one hurdle cleared and IMO the CMA will be under significant pressure from Gov to allow the deal to proceed. Today's positive market reaction might dissipate over the next few days , BUT as a holder I am comfortable with a high divi and a process to divest, simplify the structure and clear debt. I don't expect fireworks but I expect divi + gentle SP accretion to meet my inflation + 10% target.
this is very sade for gutter****e. he well be suffering moch uver the next few trading sassions
I am buying more tomorrow, looks to be a nailed on rerate about to take place on that news,in my opinion.
Good news!
Hopefully means that the competition authority will also likely approve the deal. So over 70p tomorrow.
On top of that expecting news next week - could be over 80p before you have a chance to blink!!!
That is Tuesday morning 8am!
Sentiment suddenly extremely positive - how things change quickly!
Best of luck to all.holders especially the LTH!
See you all on Tuesday :)
Great news....here's hoping these conditions are favourable to the Sp, took a few more...atb

Cheers rob.. I gave up with HL a long time ago, Anyway, lets just hope, pray, it is good.
Hi Dan, strangely HL is showing it for the 25th, but what do they know, as long as your sure its the 14th that's OK, I need to prepare myself with a bottle of champagne, and just in case a box of handkerchiefs to wipe my tears, but hopefully I won't need them
Fingers crossed then
Cheers
Rob, please listen. It is the 14th May, I repeat 14th May. Sorry mate, but this has been stated many times on here. Cheers Amigo. Bad this week though, so lets hope next week will be better. The 14th May?! So says L.T.I.

Good evening Robleo, that is a big question, this time last year Sp was 90p ish ,so hopefully we can head back there with dividend cuts and buybacks and good earnings , I've been adding small amounts with isa dividends income recently, time will tell....atb
Roofer, results on Tuesday ??
Definitely the worst performing stock in my portfolio. At least it pays a decent dividend, for now at least. Maybe one day in the far future I'll break even π π
Capital growth has been hammered so at least theres something to benefit from...even though it takes till August topay out!! :/
Thank you ValueS. Now I've found it.
It is in today's VOD share price news. The 1st one of today's 2. By Alliance News.
Best Regards ValueS
ValueS could you please mention the source?
The latest target price revision I can find dates back to March 19 (Barclays cuts tp to 85p).
Not long to wait now , Tues results, for some reason prefer to see a dip in Sp before hand often results in good news along with recent Bod share buys a good plus sign..atb
Barclays cut the TP to 80p (from 85) with 'equal weight '!
Make of that what you will π
Best Regards ValueS
Dont worry. He has been saying this all the way from 63p to 67p.
