Interesting that the booklet confirms that negotiations are underway for the consideration to be paid to TSL for the 10%, but no agreement has been reached. The RNS was silent on that? Could well come down to expert determination.
even its small legacy business is generating income so could become a shell after until all business is done I suppose
Almost free money. As easy as you will get in the stock mkt. deal done and will be sorted by end Jan. I am expecting 140p cash in total. Then a couple of final divis. Then will it become a shell? It might.
Square/Afterpay's/ThinkSmart's intentions and timings etc can be found in the AfterPay Scheme Booklet https://afterpay-corporate.yourcreative.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Afterpay-Scheme-Booklet.pdf
Great rns this morning. Not long to wait now. My guess is that square will want to settle with us right away to save themselves a lot of cash in the future but have to wait and see. Glad I'm in this one
From this morning 's RNS it looks like the Square acquisition will take place on 18 January.
Good afternoon all,
Looks like all is progressing

Although ST is generally pretty good long term, I have found it not unusual for prices to spike on his recommendation, following which they may drift for quite some time before theshare re-rates. While there is always the danger of "missing the boat" if the re-rating occurs straight after the recommendation and one is not quick off the mark, eg FIPP this week, it often pays to buy sometime after ST'srecommendation, once the spike has passed. I, for one, will sit tight with TSL, at least for now, and see what happens.
This continued drop in share price is puzzling. The SPs of both APT and Sq remain healthy. Is there any reason for our drop? Is this another buying opportunity?
Interesting delayed 0815 sell went through (approx 0905) as follows, especially when you bear in mind the totals purchased beforehand, when the rest of us were being told NT:
14-Oct-21 08:18:42 102.00 30,000 Sell* 102.00 105.00 30.60k
Was hoping for equivalent payout to last year but still a decent chunck so not complaining :) Now I can just sit back and wait until target
..............how this is undervalued.
straight to nt :-)

ThinkSmart Limited (AIM: TSL), a specialist digital payments platform business, announces the intention to return approximately A$5.6 million to shareholders.

general mkt pull back provides greater upside as detailed below ....#TSL is 'reviewed' tonight at the Mello event, if they're sensible a number of folk will see the upside here..... .target 160p+
(will be interesting to see the Mello take on on TSL , they missed the 'opportunity' with KAPE when it was 197p, now 430p, so with more detail in the public domain and the increasing global growth of buy now pay later and importantly TSL's growing stake in Clearpay the upside ahead will no doubt be recognised by some investors ...)
Given that none of them have a correlation of 1 there will always be days when TSL is up but Afterpay is down.
Square and Apt up 4% but TSL down a tad today , where's the logic?
'.....you can add ThinkSmart’s net cash of £7m and other net assets of £2.5m to arrive at a mark-to-market sum-of-the-parts valuation of 164p a share for ThinkSmart’s own shares.
On this basis, the share price discount is 37 per cent and can only narrow as more investors cotton onto the real possibility that Square will attempt to buy out ThinkSmart’s 10 per cent interest in Clearpay for cash..'
indeed, the value of TSL's investment in Clearpay will clearly continue growing from here and it would be a consideration for AP/Square to buy out their stake at some point, however, TSL may consider it beneficial to let it run on , so increasing value to 160p+ on current view or substantially higher if growth continues in the BNPL mkt as expected....Square/AP will have to make TSL a very attractive offer I would assume to tempt them to hand over their stake..TSL shareholders should benefit substantially either way ...
Have I misinterpreted Q1 Calendar 2022? I took this to mean spring time 2022. If so, plenty of time to increase the take out valuation and/or a new bidder to materialise. APT still well below year high
It could also become contested?
I'm holding and will await the news that it will be acquired. The only risk I see is that the Square acquisition of Afterpay doesn't go ahead for whatever reason.
I'm not selling till 150 at least:). Why sell earlier?
