Didn't see that coming!
I did.
I told you about a week a go.
WTF is happening?! Was he pushed out as a result of pressure from NCM/BHP?
So Fort, is this good news or bad?
Ducks lining up nicely now but in the meantime back to 12p we go! ;((
It's good news as shows that the path to going it alone or production is well and truly over.
Time for a sale.
Didn't see this coming.
Usual offenders already stating that we need a sale.
You couldn't make it up.
Why would you resign after announcing a strategic review.
Makes no sense.
Totally agree.
So heres a pattern...
Ingo doesn't agree with the strategy so he goes...after all his job was to finance Alpala and if SOLG wont be around he has no job...
Ayten doesn't agree with Darryls funding proposal so she goes.
Funding fails and Darryl offers his resignation?
Merger with CGP to facilitate a sale of SOLG
Darryl doesn't agree because hes a project director and wants to deliver Cascabel as his career swansong...so he goes...
Interim CEO appointed because theres no need for a full time as SOLG is being set up for a takeover...
Hence SOLG entering into a repayable streaming deal which sticks two fingers up to BHP and NCM plus their dilution, which couldnt make it more clear that they should put up or shut up because theres a takeover auction coming...
And they obviously dong care about AGMs and reelection because theres a bid coming down the line...
Hence Irwin tweeting SOLG being sold...
Thanks Fort, I read back on your posts and you did indeed call it on 1st November
red,
Darryl went as he became redundant the minute CGP and SOLG merged with intention to sell out. The strategic review is underway and I suspect it became pretty obvious on the direction. Darryl is not going to sit around and twiddle thumbs while Mather and CGP run the show. He had to go because his ability to do the job became impossible.
Moreover, he's experience in delivering large projects through to development clearly not required anymore! That's the message that the market has wanted for yonks.
SOLG are not going to production... what a surprise. ...
I was pondering this late last night: whether we are are currently invested in a de facto Mather-run company or whether Darryl was some sort of strategic genius. I thought it was a little odd he sought to take little to no credit personally for the merger - a masterstroke from out of nowhere. Perhaps today we have our answer.
One thing I think this does show though, is that we are going to be waiting several months before any meaningful corporate action. There is no way DC ups and leaves if a serious pay day was imminent.
ColonelDrake you did not get it right I just checked your posts.
You said Darryl would walk after delivering the strategic review.
The strategic review has not been delivered.
Something else is happening here.
Problem is you are all over the place depending if you're holding or not.
Please don't pretend you have got anything right because you haven't.
Now anybody got any sensible comments, they would be appreciated by one and all.
SM, I don't believe it was his decision...he was pushed.
"There is no way DC ups and leaves if a serious pay day was imminent."
You make it sound like he ha da choice lol! Think you need to rethink. How about the merger brings new management and like all mergers.... change happens. He got the boot you lemon!
I am in agreement with you addicknt, if he wasn't pushed we would have had a more orderly transition.
This is a tad unsettling but maybe now we know in which direction SOLG is going?
Ah yes you're right, I thought I read resigned in the RNS but clearly he has been sacked. Can't say I'll miss him.
I am in agreement with SharketMare, the one thing this indicates is we are not going to be sold.
If that was happening DC would not step down while any cooperate activity was taking place.
Also looks like he was pushed as addicknt has said.
So we have some disagreement within the company.
Just what are they disagreeing about?
Lolzzz... not even a full year
Darryl Cuzzubbo said "I am honoured to lead SolGold at such an exciting time. As the globe transitions to net zero emissions, it requires organisations like SolGold to meet the increasing shortfall in copper demand. To have identified such an extraordinary deposit at Cascabel and be currently making numerous exciting additional discoveries throughout Ecuador is a tribute to the organisation's exploration team and past leadership. I look forward to working with the Board, Executive team and Investors as we progress through the next phase to unlock the incredible potential of SolGold for all stakeholders."
Liam Twigger, Chairman of SolGold said "I am delighted to welcome Darryl as CEO of SolGold following an extensive global search where we were fortunate to be able to consider several high calibre candidates. On behalf of the Board, I am confident that Darryl with his deep commercial, operations and project delivery experience is the best person to lead this organization forward in order to realise the best potential of SolGold.
We open in a few minutes time, I have this feeling that we are going to close up today.
I just think this so left field, somebody knows what's happening.
Thanks fort for restating what I just said...
Sharket…. Good news in my opinion…. Clearly wasn’t on the same page
