I'd like to see some clarification on this from the SOLG bod, this is very concerning albeit we are not in the areas mentioned
I must of upset the resident parrot. Lots of green filtered posts.
Good to see the FT catching up with the rest of the World's press who reported on this in August.

Dinnermoney, it's not one instance... it's many. Wood Group was 100p before Apollo offered them 220p and then 240p a share. And that's a £1.5bln company or was so not small fry jump. One day the Market valued Wood Group at 100p, the next it was 220p. And you think the market is a good valuation tool? About time you and others stop presenting share prices as they are today as being anything close to what takeover or asset sales are done at. It simply isn't true. The monetisation events happen based on asset worth and the SP follows that.
I think you'll just have to accept that markets and share prices often bear no resemblance to asset value worth at all. In the old days it was acceptable for FTSE250 or 100 businesses to see a 30% premium to closing share price based on an offer. Those days have gone and this woeful market is looking incapable of valuing anything properly and iI'm afraid to say it but LSE is losing reputation and big money companies are listing on other indices that know how to value companies properly.
Verona is a City in the Veneto region
Nal, 'I have no interest in any pathetic excuse you post'. Excellent! Simple solution - stop reading my posts.
Bbg post in-between living in Queensland or Veneto.
"gino, im stuck in Verona."
now that's a new one, we've now had Queensland, Veneto and now Verona pops up.
bbg, reflect on the fact you have clearly been shown to be out of touch with reality, before you judge others.
or better still explain how you have multi nationalities and prove me wrong.
be aware your absurd claims are on a public board for all to see.
adikt I have no interest in any pathetic defence you post
Bbg post from a month or so ago.
"Whereabouts Kat? I'm based in Veneto"
im pretty sure Veneto is in Italy, certainly not in Australia.
where are you bbg. Italy or australia.
Bbg post from awhile ago.
"We had a public holiday yesterday in QLD/NSW therefore the Solgold office was shut."
clearly claiming to be living in Australia
Agreed DM
Communications are beyond woeful, but I’m with Addinct on that one and believe there’s plenty going on …… obviously there is no evidence to support this and there won’t be until “it” happens.
The new investment protection agreement is probably at the forefront along with water licensing, tailings etc all of which will derisk the project and therefore “should” add value along the line.
I’m hoping the website shambles is more to do with timing than incompetence but this remains to be seen.
Watching from a distance here with so little of substance to discuss and so many here simply to provoke.
Let’s hope we are all more fully in the picture before too long

Morning DM
Was the market right with its valuation of Noront ?
Just saying
Dinnermoney, your opinion that they could get it for £16m is ridiculous. I think you'll find BHP would need to pay £100m or more to bag DGR.
Mather wouldn't budge for less than that.
The positive for Mather and co is, Alpala continues to increase in value each month as the world heads towards a major copper deficit.
Its more likely that he will force BHP's hand
DM -
DGR's only real liquid asset is their 6.8% (204m shares) holding in SOLG.
If they were to sell this today at todays SP, it would achieve circa AUD $52m whereas their market cap is AUD $28m.
Albeit very attractive to purchase DGR, If BHP was to make an offer for DGR, it would be a competitive process, as other suitors would be very interested in acquiring the 204m shares.
If and when that process was to conclude, it would be a great illustration as to who wants SOLG, and what someone is prepared to pay for SOLG shares. It would also help someone gain a stronger position in SOLG.
BHP would be deterred from doing this and so they would prefer to manipulate the DGR share price in order to hurt mather and force him into selling down his stock in order to keep the lights on at DGR...
Good to see the resident parrot hasnt gone to bed yet.
Typo
How do you expect to make a profit. ..
And BBG instead of BG.
Writing on my mobile...tricky at times.
Honestly NAL, I am surprised to read that you are a shareholder here and expect to make a modest profit! Pray tell, how to expect to make a profit if you believe that "it's not economical to extract the massive discovery"? Surely with your investment experience you would have sold up and moved on already. In April 2022 when the SP hit 40p, why didn't you sell up then knowing this was never going to be sold because of its uneconomic nature? Instead, you held on until we are where we are now. That doesn't make sense to me. I could have sold for a tidy profit in 2022 but decided to hold for the TO, or whatever corporate action that is likely to yield a bigger profit. If that makes me gullible, so be it. But mate, every day I read here where you never have a good word to say about solg, nor other posters here. So forgive me if I doubt that you hold solg shares.
I have concluded that you are a senior, and not a young guy. If you was young, I think that you would be spending your time roger-ing your other half instead of spending it here attempting to roger BG. Just saying.
Likely he meant 'in the same boat or on same terms' rather than on 'same side' and 'pulling together' and it was in the context of CGP merger. Lets face it, the CGP boys were sitting on 15% and 6% share stake in SOLG and about $150m or more of direct past costs on the debt sheet owed to SOLG albeit when production rolls in. But the fact is... the CGP boys have feathered their caps at 17p, gained huge bonus shares (Scott). And are in the driving seat. Prior to that, they were staring at being choked into dilution oblivion. So yes... Bob and co might see it now as they are all pulling together ... spoken like a true businessman that got his own way.
Now it's time for them to deliver or else the AGM will not be pretty and I think Scott will be toast if his numbers are anywhere near what Mathers were when he finally got the shove.
I think there will be promises and clear path to exploration plans on regionals before the AGM as I reckon they'll use that to try and save some face ... oh and a good reason to issue themselves or their buddies some cheap shares.
Tesla, Bob was clear that the risk, while still there, has decreased substantially in the last 6 months
Eloro. Don't fall into the gullibles trap, by reading what you want to read, and not what's actually been said.
I have never once said solg is a lost cause.
Complete opposite in fact. I've said on many occasions I expect to make a modest profit.
I have never posted on boards other than this. Read them for many years, just never felt the need
Until bbg attracted my interest. As he told us he was living in Australia, so I thought I'd give it a go aswell.
After one or two posts with bg. It was obvious he certainly didn't live in Australia. When I pointed this out, I was met with a stream of abuse from the gullibles,
And being the bloody minded chatacter I am, thought I would devote my life to challenging the tripe printed on herr
This is a game of chess and look at the pressure which the DGR share price is under.
Someone wants to hurt NM in order to liquidate assets...
It seems those manipulators see DGR as a weak link...
Tesla, your point about squeezing explorers is a valid one, particularly when the majors have dropped doing much of their own exploration and have come to rely on others to do it for them.
However, much of the emphasis here over the past few years has been an attempt to prise ourselves from the grip of BHP/NCM, and I'd argue we've been reasonably successful in so doing. So much so, both of them have done as much as they could to disrupt our progress. It'll take some fancy footwork to avoid the scenario you paint, but I'm reasonably confident that between Caldwell and Sangha they can pull it off.
The Ecuadorian govt confirmed that our project is moving ahead - they will not stand in our way.
Cheers Tesla1, but the Ecuadorian govt knows a lot more than you and I.
My investment is safe here.
Do you think with 153m shares he could be anything other?

I agree you haven’t been ramptastic like red ramper and fortissimo, who are obviously investing more than they can afford to lose, hence the bullish posts no matter what the news is but when you see a decent discovery up the road and the sp drops then you have to wonder do companies just want to avoid Ecuador or do they just want squeeze explorers as much as they can.
Bob isn’t wrong when he says high risk high reward, but that risk has increased substantially in the past 12 months for a variety of reasons and the reward isn’t looking quite as rosy.
I suspect most on here would take BHPs initial investment price today for an easy exit.
Admirable Shipright!
Excellent move approaching Bob and obtaining a status update! I wonder if NAL will follow up with 1 of the key players and provide concrete evidence to this BB to reinforce his position that all is lost here?
I admire your approach of action over talking Shipright.
