Exactly Quady. Metoooo and unbalanced make my point for me, there are people living in the west who hate the west
They should get out
Metooooo why are you quoting the Balfour agreement, to do so shows you know nothing of the History.
Allow me to give you a brief history lesson.
Palestine was created out of two countries, they were Judea and Israel.
In 1946 before the Balfour agreement was implemented a large part of Palestine became Trans Jordan.
Funny how they are not attacking Jordan, maybe because the population is not Jewish.
This area has a long history of borders being moved, look what happened in 1885 when much of Africa was divided up.
When people talk about the Balfour agreement they like to sound knowledgeable.
They are not, I doubt you have even read it.
Much of the land was tribal shortly before, people were on the move.
Seriously do some reading.
Nothing to do with the Balfour agreement, it's a hatred of the Jewish people.
If you think otherwise please explain why Hamas doesn't attack Jordan to reclaim it's land.
Unless I read an unequivocal denunciation of Hamas' October 7th attack on innocent Israeli citizens, then folks who will not denounce Hamas are demonstrating their hatred of Israel. Israel did not steal lands. How can they steal that which was theirs from the beginning? Judea was always Jewish, and it always will be. Yes, Arabs came in when Judea was weak, and some Jewish people were dispersed around the globe, bit there was always a Jewish presence in their homeland. The Arabs can go back to Arabia from whence they came.
In fact, it would be great if Israel would create a foreign Legion so that righteous people can aid in her defence. Israel have the right to exist, to be the master of her ancestral homeland. In fact, allowing a 2 state solution would be allowing dragons teeth to be planted in her garden. Had October 7th not happened, the people in Gaza would have had a peaceful eid.
Well Israel is a so called democracy says a lot about your democratic ideals. If it doesn't want the refugees then UK and West shouldn't have colonised their lands and appropriated their wealth and massacred their people during days of empire and the meddling in their lands and affairs that goes on to this very day and under false pretences to start wars. I guess somethings don't change!
I’m in western country and support western ways of living and democracy when we used to have it too
Plenty of places for hate filled Muslims and Arabs to reside on this earth. They don’t have to be under our feet ruining our lives
The Palestinian people are a Semitic people and native to the land and didn't immigrate from Europe!
I see those with a Zionist agenda are in force here. An occupying power does not have a right to self defence. That's just ludicrous to suggest that those who have been oppressed for more than 70 years must hold back and allow the continued annexation of their land and slaughter of their people.
Most of the civilised world is against the actions of the Israeli state. People often conflate Judaism and Zionism. They are not the same thing. Israel is not a Jewish state! Many Jewish people including those in Israel are against the genocide being currently perpetrated with US and UK complicity. Miriam Margolyes spoke eloquently about this saying she felt ashamed of Israel and to her it seemed as Hitler had won.
A HOL peer spoke in similar terms a few weeks ago but off course it's hard to find that in a Google search as Google takes down such content and censors criticism of Israel.
I guess we get to see who is on the side of humanity and who is not from this genocide against innocent women and children.
Perhaps if you read the educated link that was posted you may be able to understand that Iran existed long before the creation of the state of Israel. Nothing better than an ill informed genocide sympathiser. The hypocrisy of the West is palpable and frankly the politics are none of our business.
It is not very complex. Israel was built on a stolen land. The balfour letter says that Britain wanted to give a land to Jewish people on PAlestine land.
Under international law, Israel is an occupier. Under international law, armed resistance against occupiers is legitimate.
Needless to say, you just need to see how the IDFs are behaving and how the Israelis are enjoying starvation of kids, to understand their mentality.
Not interested in a discussion btw.
Incapable or unwilling?!
'84, there are many people in this country who appear incapable of understanding who our enemies are - just as there were in the 1930s.
And anybody seen supporting Hamas or brandishing Palestine flags in our country should be considered a security threat and ejected from the U.K.
It’s actually quite pleasing to see the overall defence of Israel’s position here..
Hamas could have brought an end to all this (after they initiated it) on any day over the last few months, by simply releasing the hostages. Instead they chose to use a twisted logic that they are somehow the victims… At the end of the day if you attack someone without warning… you don’t then get to choose how hard they hit you back..
Israel should be allowed to finish Hamas off once and for all…. And no one with a functioning brain should miss them.
Indeed it is a worrying situation now that Iran has entered the arena
Perhaps most worrying is that in the U.K. we have let the enemy into our nation. How many terrorists will be working for iran when the inevitable kicks off?
And remarkably, the borders remain wide open for millions more terrorists to flock here
I guess we'll be seeing an RNS tomorrow?
Fortisimo ,your stupid description of the current Israel Iran and hamas situation means you know nothing about the full conflict, or you just hold your own agenda......
In a nut shell and for your information, Israel had and still has to fight for it survival from the first day it created, Israel did not start the latest crisis, it was hamas!!!! Israel never called to destruction of their suranding neighbours, unlike Iran and it's cronies ie hamas hezbolah and the huties.
However Israel is strong enough to stand against those evil enemies and previl.
I strongly suggest you learn a bit more about the overall conflict (or at least make an effort
..) before showing off your ignorance.
some people are are irreversibly ******s.
ColonelDrake what are you smoking.
Hamas is still launching missiles and rockets at Israel everyday and you are asking Israel to stop attacking Hamas and let the shelling of Israel continue.
At best you are a useful idiot.
Fort, why didn't you begin your post by first denouncing Hamas' attack on Israel? At least your position would be balanced had you done so.
Those guys have had over 70 years to arrive at a peaceful coexistence with Israel, they haven't. October 7th is the latest manifestation of their desire to destroy Israel. We will not allow that to happen. Even Egypt made peace with Israel, why couldn't they worked to find a peaceful way to live with Israel? Instead they attacked women and children, and kidnapped the innocent.
So who's the good guys here then? Putin going into Ukraine = bad guys. US going into Iraq under fale pretences.. good guys or bad guys? Iran, Saudi's, Syria, Yemen... where do you want to stop? My point was not about starting a Iran vs Israel pros and cons discussion... it's not about that. It's about Israel's actions of late and how the world is asking them to calm it all down and act appropriately. Instead, Israel is ignoring this and acting in a way that make Putin look like a saint. Israel was thought of a country that appeared to have some measure of responsibility but of late they look like a terror group themselves. Terrible to see... it like they are being led by a complete nutter. Even Biden has said calm the xxck down.
Israel need to get a peace deal done and deescalate. Or what's the alternative? Do they really think they can take on Iran and come out of it ok? It's pointless. The mighty US got whooped by the Afghan's and went home tail between legs.
It's Israel that are the problem right now... not Iran not anyone else. They are acting in a way that is 'reckless'. They are a concern right now as they do not seem well hinged.
I don’t think the west are escalating this in the slightest.
Putin and Hamas( Iran) kicked all these situations off………
Sorry Cintra learn your history what happened in 1967.
Yes Israel launched an attack on threatening forces, who were threatening to destroy Israel.
This is the famous 6 day war and meant that land was taken initially as a buffer zone.
Israel has always had to fight for its survival.
Remember it's Hamas that calls for the eradication of Israel and the death of every Jew in the world.
I don't understand how anyone that's not totally evil can support that position.
Yes what's happening at the moment is terrible, but the way to start resolving this is for everyone to call for the removal of Hamas and return of the hostages.
'Anyone who destabilizes genocide gets my vote'. Jeez!
Do you understand anything about Iran? Sorry, that was a rhetorical question; you clearly do not.
It's a complex situation and I'm not supporting Hamas or Israel. I'm simply highlighting the unbalanced approach. The rough figures stand at 33,091 Palestinian's killed vs 1,410 Israeli's in 2024.
That's not proportionate. That's genocide.
Israel need to calm it all down and not continue escalating it. The direct hit on the Iranian's in Syria didn't need to happen.
Quite frankly, Iran's response was actually as gentle as it could be considering what could have followed. They don't want to escalate... that's clear. But what is not clear is what israel are after. Eveb Biden has said calm the xxck down on a number of occasions (not word for word of course) and he's even said he's not supporting any further retailiation by Israel suggesting he too thinks Iran were in their rights to retailiate and that it's now evens...
Someone seriously needs to reign Israel in as they are overstepping the mark by considerable amount and the world is turning against them fast. That is clear. Time to deescalate and time for peace talks. Wars don't solve anything but they make the countries like US, france and UK very rich by selling the arms. It's ugly stuff.
I’d much prefer London to be full of Israelis than the Palestinian crowd that spit their hatefulness every 2 weeks, making the city a nightmare place to be!
