Possible interpretations:
1. He didn't want to move to Brisbane.
2. The role has changed.
3. There is not going to be any action for which his skills are required. (this would imply fund raising/any other form of corporate transaction.)
4. The strategy doesn't need two people capable of executing corporate transactions - we have a CFO
5. Cost saving exercise.
Number 3 simply cannot be true.
Btw RK, I had always assumed he was your "mate".
Well, that is interesting! Good find RK.
Just now on Linked In
"After 3 years at SolGold plc and 2 years before as an advisor, I am moving on. My role has moved to Brisbane and the strategy has evolved. I have deep gratitude to our investors, and I am convinced the excitement will continue. My last day at SolGold will be 5 September and I am actively exploring opportunities to take me forward to something new and exciting."
And yes...he was my 'friend'...
Agree on the longer time horizon for graphene. We should be able to cash in on SOLG before graphene becomes a real contender.
Hamo...the whole subject of copper/aluminium/graphene is fascinating...
It is well worth taking the time to read this article which suggests that the copper crunch is unavoidable, but in future CCA (copper clad aluminium), copper or aluminium infused with graphene, or....much further down the road, graphene 'wires' is the future...
https://hackaday.com/2021/09/30/the-coming-copper-shortage-aluminum-or-carbon-nanotubes-to-the-rescue/
But I'm absolutely certain that the copper price will recover fairly swiftly and that SOLG will be taken out well before we need to worry about graphene...
Red yes I read it too that's one reason I've included them in a takeover also I think we need to look at Anglo American and Fortescure reason ,Chile taxes on miners that happens then they'll be clambering to get into Ecuador mining imho
That is a very interesting observation DBW...
Barrick is a gold miner...second biggest by output and MCap behind Newmont, but...
At least 2 years ago Bristol said they must look at copper/gold porphyrys going forward and now he's saying copper is the place to be...
So do we know any company that has at least two and maybe several more Tier 1 copper/gold prospects...?
Who will make the first move, because this could become a feeding frenzy when the starters gun goes off...
(Sorry for the mixed metaphors...)
Ooohh - break out the popcorn, eyes down........................

@Quady, the only current issues with graphene are mass production costs and instability of the electric current.
pbow, I agree with you final sentence.
If I lost my house into a sink hole caused by mining I would not be sitting there and thinking about the nuance as to who made the tunnel in the first place. I would be saying that I want mining to be stopped full stop. The government needs to do far more to stop the illegal mining.
pbow, it's easy for anyone to differentiate between the two - the clue's in the description.
https://www.bloomberglinea.com/2022/07/23/zaruma-el-pueblo-construido-sobre-oro-que-se-derrumba-poco-a-poco-en-ecuador/
I find the above article astonishing really. Its about illegal mining and how its causing a historic city to collapse. It kindof explains why there is some push back against mining in Ecuador. I mean its easy for us to differentiate between legal and illegal mining.... but a bit harder if your house falls into a big hole.
Thanks for sharing these articles. I find it a bit odd that we're finding out new things about the company and its operations in BN Americas, but better than not knowing at all I guess.
After initial signs that Daryl would be a lot more open and communicative, does feel like we're back to the SOLG of the last 24 months, where we haven't really got a clue what is going on.
Thanks Pad. NM was very upbeat emphasising the positives for DGR, particularly what they frequently do. Work-up and idea and sell them to somebody Major.
So when is our turn? And who will it be and what form will this take?
Time will tell and just hope this will not be damp squid! LOL! GLA as we enter another week with more economic and political chaos. Just hope Uncle Biden is recovering from his Covid as that lady 2nd in charge could be Hell on Earth!
BBG yes in black and white for all to read ,thanks for posting link Pad
From the Mathers very own presentation at 5:50 into the presentation "Expect Solgold corporate actions....."
Hamoperator I have been following the Graphene story since 2010 and have a small investment in VRS.
Graphene can never replace Copper as Graphene is a couple of atoms thick and has no real current carrying capacity.

dBW. I read recently that scientists were working on Graphene being an alternative to copper as it has greater conductivity powers,
This was a little while ago
“Hailing copper as a “strategic” metal, Mr Bristow said:
“It is more strategic than cobalt, more strategic than lithium. You can’t replace copper on conductivity. It is a modern metal."
Fortissimo,
It’s fine saying that but who do we start barracking, want to give us a clue?
Atb
Possible fortissimo
one word question: why?
One word guys
'Barrick'!!
