dBW. I read recently that scientists were working on Graphene being an alternative to copper as it has greater conductivity powers,
I read last week that BHP are facing the biggest law case ever costing them 5billion dollars being presented by the Brazilian govt and the suvivors of the mine disaster flooding if they lose.Maybe this could have something to do with it.
Just out and update on Tandayama exploration up date.
Just announced at last, presentation on April 20th.
Slug the British govt owed £400m to Iran for the renaged deal on the delivery of military equipment decades ago.So as usual it is down to the tax payer even though Iran paid upfront for the equipment. The politicians as usual are to blame.
That's a UT look at 1836 with a 400k hare sale.
BBG that AFR article was dated June 5th 2018 may still be relevant and interesting as BHP if they acquired Newcrest they would have their 13%'of solg and more important their Block Caving expertise .
This is out.
Just read the BBC news and announced that BHP are leaving the FTSE 100 and only listing in Sydney.Co worth about £128bn with pretax profit up from £9.8bn to 17.8bn.
What's happened to the LSE board this morning whether sells or buys same trades at same times coming up multiple times!!
For a bit of light entertainment BBC2 at1900 bst in U.K. Are showing a mining company attempting to extract gold in the Trossachts national park.
It would appear that The Toronto Exchange is open today as they only close on Canadian holidays.Interesting to see the movement on SOLG if any as a precursor to the LSE tomorrow.
With the voting closing at 2200 UK time surely a country the size of Ecuador it will take a few days for the result to be confirmed.OK we might have an indication on an exit poll basis but I've seen this go wrong. What do you think as someone posted a couple of days ago result tomorrow .
Just a thought.Keith Marshall appears to be highly respected in the Mining industry on the tech /block caving side ,even Irwin is a fan.He doesn't want the job as he admits that he hasn't the financial expertise to deal with major shareholders etc.
Why don't SOLG appoint joint CEO 's or wouldn't this be allowed ? Have a good weekend all.
RNS just announced on LSE site.
Hi Covgaz , You have a good point as I'm sure HL and Halifax share dealing only have e-mail details but one of my banking accounts is Halifax who may have my phone number but having my address details and not being ex directory no problem for them. any way not a massive holding but like all of us we want the best result. I met Nick in London at an investor presentation some 4 years ago was impressed and have every faith in him .Not a day trader but a LTH.
ATB
Just received 2 phone calls in last 10 minutes from 2 different companies acting on Solg's behalf checking if I had received docs apertaining to AGM from my brokers HL and Halifax said I hadn't and anyway already voted.OMG seems that BOD are very anxious for us PI's to vote.
I am sure Farmer palmer was around at the same time as Ericeric and had a good rapport with the lady who spread the sprinkles by I think the name of Miss Golightly and he was nothing to connect him with Aimexpert who was helping his son and his farm and was certainly worth listening to.
Thanks Quady for your comments which are fully understood,I hope you are right but if Ecuador wanted too they could change the rules especially with govt elections next year.As the months roll by the Govt appears to be taking a hell of a long time to get their act together on permits etc. When this world comes back to normal I believe China who helped Ecuador on infrastructure issues etc and are owed millions they are likely to play a bigger part apart from BHP.
After watching the Webinar presentation yesterday I have a couple of concerns regarding Solg and the their relationship with BHP and the Equadorian govt.Solg are an excellent exploration co wanting to become a Major Mining Co.I remember when BHP were an embryonic Australian co and look at them now! Solg need the funding and to sort out Cornerstone which is taking time and Ecuador is under pressure to replace Oil as the main breadwinner to keep the repayment schedule on their loans starting in 2025.Solg apparently upset BHP recently on the recent funding announcement so what's stopping them from jumping into bed with the Govt and taking over our future concessions and just retaining their Solg share holding as an investment or selling it on The only advantage on taking Solg over as I see it is that it provides them with an earlier return and a major presence in Equador.Maybe I've answered my own concerns.
