Who's being snide now Quadski ?
Negotiated trades only. Even for £2000 …
If nothing else we are clearer where people stand and it puts an end to years of infighting
In a few minutes time we shall the markets initial reaction. I am inclined to add once a trend becomes clear. The very long term prospects very good imo, where the sp will finish today.....no idea.
let's see how this pans out today and over the weekend and what other RNS's are released. This share is now becoming exciting! So many possibilities! GLA
Who BHP allons this if its more dilution for them and more votes against them?
DBW agree they were not there yesterday for the fun of it they buying it imho
This is just the start of a stream of news in the near term
Q, defence against what? What this does is improve our negotiating position in an agreed deal.
As usual ColonelDrake has grabbed the stick by the wrong end.
Sorry ColonelDrake but you are wrong again.
This is becoming a bit of a habit I fear.
May I suggest you read the whole RNS slowly.
Sean, some of that is undoubtedly the case but we're still a company with no cash that now needs to find a boatload to pay Warren and Co.
You won't like the dilution that is coming to join our houses so to speak but conveniently you've neglected to mention it.
Lets not forget, if CGP want an exit, SolGold selling Cascabel helps them how?
In reality, we are paying (a very healthy rate) for them to come across onto the London market at which point they can sell whenever they please (liquidity pending).
Suspect there's more chance of 14p than 20p today but will happily be proved wrong.
Hmm, I might get to go this year after all. :-)
copper, I'm not that naive but I don't think we were alone.
In Mather we trust. The starter gun was fired yesterday. No loose ends and 100% ENSA. Very easy now to get all involved (and I believe they have many interested parties) to fight over what they want. Mitsui tend to like a 10% or 15% stake so anyone have any ideas who might like the other 85% lol!
The tell tale signs have been there for a while now. Irwin being quiet was a give away. Running the cash pile low was another give away. They wouldn't do that unless they had options. I'm chuffed. Been here a while and waited for this to happen. So a few red faces on here today (you know who you are) and one very embarrassed one beginning with Q.
Let the rumours bubble over the weekend and roll on for weeks!!
Maybe the strategic review will make others look silly
Ma
Addicknt, without being argumentative....I hope you're not suggesting that the company has listened to a few folk here (criticising) and decided to merge with CGP? Surely not!
Bozi we were drifting towards the buffers with no money in the bank, with the SP way too low to do any kind of decent fundraise, with NOBODY believing the BoD story about going into production (except Quady).
SOLG, in it's present and past form had reached the end of the line.
This whole mess with Cornerstone was the original sin that has hampered us for years.
Things had to change.
Now it's clear - we are up for sale (or at least Cascabel will be soon).
A stroke of genious by the BoD or just painted themselves into this corner by not being very good? Doesn't matter.
We were out of time and out of runway mate.
Get everything in order for a sale and put Cascabel proudly in the shop window.
I'm sure SOLG will go on in some form after that as what it should be - an explorer, discovering proving up and selling on.
Lets not forget the role the Japanese will play in all of this.
Okay our defence just became rock solid.
Acquiring all CGP shares gives us 100% of ENSA.
This will make financing even easier.
This is what NM tried to do unsuccessfully.
Well done Darryl.
Finance to get us to DFS will be sorted, and then finance options really do open up
We are in control of our destiny.
Lastly because of the new shares issued this dilutes BHP and NCM.
The book just became more diverse.
Well done Solgold.
As Copperpot says all these people saying the BOD were finished look silly, but not for the first time.
The strategic review announcement has made my day…. I’ve been screaming for one for too long… I was not expecting the merger, though I guess it makes sense after the twitter message re Misui yesterday…. Hopefully the merger is just a formality for an already lined up monetising event
Our funder NM wanted to get that deal done years ago but unfortunately failed, it's finally done now albeit not at the same favourable price.....
Hopefully we can move forward now with better and clearer future for both companies share holders.
Mather did say expect Solgold corporate action in his DGR presentation...
Interesting that they seemed to annoy their major shareholders with the proposed cashbox raise whilst at the same time working on this deal, presumably with the agreement of the major shareholders.
I think having Maxit advising Solg now is a good outcome, Sangha is invested in CGP and will be looking for a substantial return.
Bozi, I take your point.
Pad, yup, we'll finally get the opportunity to establish just how much interest really exists out there for our asset and, more importantly, how much it's really worth.
