Anyone got access to the article?
Hello Jerry just read the mining.com article.
Well BHP and NCM won't be bidding for us.
What I am saying is at PFS we have a valuation of around 50P a share but at DFS considerably more.
Sorry Quady - I don’t understand your point!
Lol Jerry
English is not everyone’s first language
Article in mining.com that headlines as Maxit: bhp and newcrest can go and f*** themselves…
You been on the old moloko juice this afternoon Quady ?
Padmaster we will have an updated PFS so day 30% of NPV.
So, the math's and your see what I mean.
No problem SharketMare I stand by what I have said.
BHP don't really need to do anything until SOLG announce an offer. Let's assume the maxi bunch engineer a consortium bid for SOLG of say 55p.
Let's assume that it's recommended by the BoD's.
So now what happens... it goes for 55p? Well that would likely require BHP and NCM, Black rock and Norges et al to agree to 55p. At that point you'll know whether BHP want to make a higher offer. They simply can't stand by and just sit on hands. They'll need to put up or sell out.
SOLG can force BHP into a decision simply by continuing to do royalty deals and eating into the asset. They don't have to find a buyer for ENSA. But one thing is sure... BHP will be forced into making a decision at some point in the near future. (within the next 4months is my guess).
NM July 2020:
“The market capitalisation of SolGold is well underneath the value of Alpala alone without considering the value of the 13 other projects. There is of course continual speculation that the company may receive takeover offers. It would need to be very hefty to receive my recommendation.”
"Zoros the one thing I can tell you is the strategic review will not be to sell the company."
Bold from you there Quady! One to revisit when the review is published for sure.
Well thats quite a bounce
Agreed Pad …. That much should be obvious to anyone. Wonder what else Nick has up his sleeve
The much discussed strategic review could have unexpected results..
The review could announce Solg have realised they can make more money by simply abandoning the idea of being an explorer and concentrate on what they have learned most over the last few years and now know best… Fish farms, and pastries from the bakery!
Surely we can at least turn a profit from those… and don’t require billions of outlay..
Surely Quady, if the lot is sold for multiples of the current share price, the BOD will have achieved a substantial increase in value to shareholders?
The asset is not being valued accurately by the SP though and vice versa.
Until there is something to increase shareholder value, the value to the shareholder will stay pretty much where it is ( obviously).
The quick way to deliver share holder value is through a sale of all or part of the company's assets or push on towards production which will take several years longer.
As you say, if you sell it you have nothing to increase it's value after that point, but the very process of a sale should deliver the desired shareholder value.
We can't have it both ways I don't think.
Zoros the one thing I can tell you is the strategic review will not be to sell the company.
The reason for this is it's to increase shareholder value.
If you sell it, you have nothing to increase its value.
Monte:
"...They constantly talk of future exploration and value adding just like they talk about becoming miners.
The truth is solg is a poorly run company with low quality management.
Hopefully the strategic review will enlighten the board into excepting this fact and the best way forward is to sell the whole company to someone who can take it further. Mission accomplished.
Much as I dislike Mathers attitude - he is an inveterate professional. I believe he is making a come back with the support of his nemesis: CGP they will now work together to clear the way for either some JV activity or a sale.
Solg has lost its way and its drive. Too much politics behind the scenes debilitating its every move. Clean out the rubbish and make way for a mercenary approach.
DGR/CGP are now running Solg.

Now look, that's not nice sean
