Portugal, do not know the meaning of opportunity, this incredible sp reflects on the pathetic state of politics in this sad European country. They make our politicians seem almost fit for purpose.
Super slow burn this one - investor event in London end of the month?
Portugal have a massive opportunity here and so does SAV
Is there an issue with sav or just a slow day? No trades since just after 8 this morning??
There are not many European lithium hopefuls and I see that EMH are having a torrid time of it with further drops yesterday. Just a few weeks ago the relative sp was x12, now x7. That’s an ouch in anybody’s book.
Not that long since the Klein/Hopper duet (amongst others) were crooning the virtues of EMH as the EU lithium beacon. Wonder if they have been added to their Pessimism Playlist.

Someone was asking for market background the other day so this is a well timed recap of the general woes of the wider lithium market, and some general comment on possible futures.
Personally I was taken by a couple of comments especially regards the high prices encouraging high supply of low grade supply in China / Africa which may well stop now that prices are much lower. Whilst they do not give investment advice, didn’t sound as if they would be looking at fresh starters, preferring the established players or ones that are closer to development. Also, bearing in mind price falls, they were mindful of the cash position as the fancy prices of the past year and raising may not be quite so easy, at least on a private basis.
Jurisdiction may be important with some Gov/European underwriting / underpin, when the project is as needed as it is. Whilst the RNS didn’t say it, the SAV tweet earlier said that the CEO was looking to outline the exciting plans for 2024. No doubt we shall see if the wider market agrees
Northvolt continues to bulk up and has concluded a $5 billion raise which will no doubt help with the development of the Galp/Northvolt lithium refinery down the road from Barroso at Setubal

Ditto
Same here, wait all this time for something like this and it comes when I'm away. Look forward to reading what other have to say after the event.
Can’t make that day unfortunately.
SAV is beginning to look very much similar in profile and timescale to ALL, and that is sitting around the 21-22p mark (very much undervalued).
It now looks as though we will be the first EU LI mine to break ground (2026), if forecasted timelines are maintained. The management of this project has been first class, and they really do instill confidence.
Agreed, though I might suggest that much like a deal on the courtroom steps, any news would need to be released to the wider market beforehand if it was to be discussed at the meeting, even if an RNS after 4.30 on the 30th.
Good for sentiment and general understanding.
While the Portuguese political clown show and the associated shambolic investigations stumble along, Savannah is quietly moving Barroso forward. When you read Savannah’s releases you can see that it is putting its usual solid work with the more routine part of the environmental approvals process continuing with the RECAPE work while the strategic partnering process is also being worked on with the assistance of two major investment banks. Drilling is ongoing so there should be some good results coming out soon and looks like we will be hearing more at the upcoming investor event
Let us hope so…..I got in at 4.0p big time,so I am definitely in for long term…I hope I don’t live to regret it financially……
Yes SAV sp will struggle until confirmation that DIA stands and that no illegal agreements occurred that cause the new govt to insist on its cancellation and re-application required. I sense the new govt would be keen to get things moving and confirm its legality promptly so SAV can push on and Portugal can reap benefit from Li asap.....but it's a waiting game until the spring at least. Hopefully the milestones detailed in latest SAV presentation have not been pushed back as they said they were continuing regardless of the investigation.
SAV was in a decent position until a massive hit of uncertainty regarding the political upheaval associated with the criminal investigation into alleged corruption in lithium licensing. We are now treading water until the uncertainty is resolved and the newly elected government clarifies its position in regard to lithium mining and processing. Until then we are just filling the board with idle chatter and reminiscing about the good old bad old days.
What are you going on about.......Who cares.......I am more concerned about why this share price is turning into another IAG scenario....hopefully it is going to be sorted when new government gets elected in March...Dont understand when there was nothing to shout about it was higher at circa .4p now with all the aspects moving forward drilling, permits potential investors etc it is in a tailspin.?Any ideas anybody...Oh by the HAPPY NEW YEAR when this SP increases to some sort of sensible level.....
This works for me: “The generally accepted cutoff date is January 7th. Why? Because by then, everyone has already broken their resolutions and is too busy Googling “how to get a refund on a gym membership” to care about your belated well-wishes.”
A promise to do something in the new year is a bit like a weak resolution and as long as it’s completed by next Xmas is still valid? Would be good to have another face to face if only to see how much we have aged since the bygone days of miss-spent optimism regarding Oman and Mozambique?
Christmas has a clear ending on the 12th night, Three Kings or the start of Epiphany in early Jan.
New Year is more of a moveable feast but generally the window of saying Happy New Year is a couple of weeks at most.
And yet, unless referring to Chinese New Year,
RNS 5th December 2023
Shareholder event: An in-person (UK) and online presentation to shareholders is planned for the New Year. Further details will be provided in due course
Am about to go for supper and at this rate I am just as interested if not more, in finding out more details of the courses.
Has he prematurely assumed the luxury of freedom of speech as an ‘elder statesman’ no longer reliant the public’s vote, following his local difficulties, resignation and election trigger. This has been an issue in plain sight for years now.
Pity Costa didn’t do more to back up his views when he had some power himself and before he was discredited . Can’t see his successor taking any notice of this.

Gets points across on every page. Some may be so hardened against that they will never accept reason or reasoned argument/discussion. Lots of people like that on all manner of issues, looking to revel in being against a cause, almost preferring the pain of martyrdom than looking to build anything positive.
Patience is the only "game" with this share. This year, next year, sometime, maybe never. How China amonst others, will be having a massive laugh at the bungling bureaucrats who are controlling the pace of this project.
Gibberish! AI?
The progress of the project will turn fluent after (if) approving Environmental permitting. It will really help raising money for the investments. Construction of mine and minerals processing plant and operation of the plants are just businesses as usual.
You can read the latest updates of the project from company's web site: Investors/RNS feed.
