Remember - Buy on rumour, sell on news.
Great news tbh and after some consolidation,
this has got double figures written all over it. IMHO.
Obviously when it comes to good news it seems to have a negative effect....but....I am in big time on this looking at 2 years...It is my own fault I keep checking daily ...perhaps I should stop for my own sanity....
@ Cadell.
I am myself to be fair. But still. Early days perhaps?
Surprising that the sp hasn't risen more given that the funding is sorted and the way forward secured. We can all sleep at night knowing that things are heading north.

Yes CM, like you, I have felt the same over the years, but this is serious money being pumped in by a big German concern, I can't see them doing it without due diligence and prospects of a good return by getting in early, which really amounts to a joint venture, with them as a junior partner.
It is a shame David Archer didn't live to see this come to fruition, but we are grateful he sowed the seeds and saw the potential of a lithium mine in Portugal, despite a few false dawns along the way. Glad I too kept the faith.
I expect a small fall in SP when the new shares are added later today, although the striking price was at a premium (4.67p) to offset the dilution ... it could represent an opportunity to buy more on any drops.
It will be a very interesting AGM on Monday, bouyed by this announcement and other news for the year to come.
A rare piece of good news from SAV today - I had pretty much lost interest I confess. Typically the pattern has been to rise to about 5p when optimism abounds. Could this time be different?

Found it. May 24 corporate presentation, slide 31: "DFS (by the end of 2024)"
Q3 mentioned in last presentation I seem to recall.
Tony - Not doubting you, but can you point me to where they said DFS in Q3? I thought all they've said so far is "before the end of the year". Thanks.
I also like the fact they're tied in for 2 years followed by an orderly market proviso for 1 year, so by then SAV should be operational and the sp very strong and far north of single digits.
The fact they paid a premium for there shares should see this rise over the coming months

Very surprised at low volume today given the news. This is good for two reasons.
- nobody is selling
- still under the radar
I've been in here for about 4 years and held tightly.

He was the old CEO of Savannah.
Always sad to hear such news I hope he does RIP.
Who was DA out of interest .
Deeply saddened to read this, he was the main reason I invested in SAV back in 2014 after meeting him at a presentation and later at other gatherings and promotional events. He will be greatly missed, sincerest condolences to his wife and family.
I notice from the share register details of what seems to be the transfer of his holdings to Dale Ferguson back in December 2023, so provision for his passing may have been a pre-empt for the sad news we have now received.
RIP DA....thoughts with his family and friends.
🙏....RIP David....🙏

RNS Up 19% today 4.85p the 9am high .

Made me look at holding history .
Always been volatile it appears .
Thank God I took some off the table 12/1/22 at 4.7p ( did not think like that June last when 4.95p )
7/7/22 Bought at 2.1p ( WI ) must of been as funds in ISA ( never did go lower )
Had been margin calls around this time ( D )
26/7//22 Was going to buy more in ISA on limit order of 2.5p did not recall the buy on 7/7/22
On ( D )
12/1/22 Sell 4.7p (The 7/2/19 tranche 0.2p less then that buy , but the 6/3/20 buy was more then 3 times as many )
6/03/20 buy 1.4p
7/2/19 buy 4.8p

BOIL has over 25 billion shares in issue. A lifestyle company if ever there is one
Done ok with my SAV. I think BHL which is up over 50% in the last month could do similar to SAV. Its worth 10x less.

Very good news indeed.
I've just had a look at my sharedealing account. I'm up by a couple of hundred quid. Happy days.
Would be very nice to see sp at 10p and buy out at 20p
Very good news hence the tick up in recent weeks
Time to consolidate around the 8p mark as bigger players build positions
Sav has gone up nearly 150% over the last 5 months. I hope BHL (another Lithium play) will join in this rise.
I've only glanced through it, and I'll have a detailed read through it later on this morning.
But on the face of what I've read, this does look like good news.

Most excellent ! We're at the races now !
......BOOM
Perhaps just the Motley Fool group loading up for their 10%. More interesting is where do we get 350 mill from.
Moving on up without huge volume, does this indicate finally the amount of free float shares are greatly reduced? Next news flow could really send sp moving nicely.

Osaka, you could have left it at "It’s standard practice", just to avoid appearing, you know, unhelpful.
Last 2 placements have been April 2021 (Pre-AGM) and July 2023 (Post-AGM/new Scope Study), I don't think you can say there's any link between AGM and when funds are raised. As pointed out it's just standard practise to include such a condition.
It’s standard practice, if you don’t like it move on, simple.
Inwould never say a placement isn't on route but........
The milestones are already well known to shareholders, namely the endorsement of the Project ('DIA') by Portugal's environmental regulator in May, followed swiftly by the new Scoping Study in June, which highlighted the Project's near US$1 billion value. These milestones then paved the way for Savannah to complete a successful fundraise at market price in July, which has given us the cash balance needed to accelerate the work required to take the Project towards a final investment decision.
You would hope the next set of money coming in would be from a strategic partner , agree not always the case
Looking at past AGMs, they do have that inserted. The company tend to do a placement not long after, which i think is due, only my opinon

Name Shares held Percentage (%)
AL MARJAN LTD 275,762,589 15.07%
SLIPSTREAM RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL PTY LTD 148,274,045 8.10%
MÁRIO NUNO DOS SANTOS FERREIRA 91,600,000 5.01%
GRUPO LUSIAVES SGPS, S.A. 58,639,660 3.20%
Total shares issued with voting rights: 1,830,161,784
These 4 represent 31.38% with several large Institutions under the 3% disclosure threshold also being major shareholders.
With the share price just about to breach the last 4.0p rights issue, those that were seriously underwater earlier this year, when the SP dropped to 1.8p, will have to be convinced at the forthcoming AGM to stay on board and be prepared to invest more now that things have started to move again.
So, every piece of confidence and promising news is now vital to sustain the SP, to attract those willing to invest in the next stage and future of the mine.
We live in hope!

Are we going to have some good news before the Annual General Meeting next Monday?
Tick tick tick then hopefully boom
Things can move quickly, folks. I purchased £800 worth in March as I remember at 1.8p and now I've nearly doubled my investment. In 3 months.
Am another long term investor here.Hold the shares at a loss. In contrast bought Zinnwald Lithium at the same time and they have almost doubled in value. Difference, Political interference has delayed Savannah .Patience required although not easy given the justified frustrations.
There have been many factors outside the control of the BOD which have caused delay . If you don’t believe in the company and the lithium play , then sell up and move on .
If you really want to get answers, then next week is the company AGM so turn up and show some support… you may even learn something. I’m 9yrs here and I’d happily do it all again in preference to leaving my money in a bank as the ROI will happen.

I was listening to some of the UK election arguments, and planning is one area which UK apparently needs to improve certainly for environmental projects. The CEO of one electric company is on record as saying they could build a wind farm in 2 years, but it would take 5-6 years for planning and similar for the grid to hook up to the new wind farm, turning 2 years into 13-14 years.
I'm not saying all that SAV BOD have done is perfect, and yes we could be getting more news. But I just think that in Portugal ,as per UK, nothing on this scale moves fast. This itself does then have an impact on tie up agreements.
I've also been involved for 6+ years now, and do feel frustrated but at same time still have optimism that we will have spades in the ground eventually and when that day arrives, the SP will know no limits.
How much longer, this is a total joke, BOD need to provide some instrumental update. Where are these partnership agreements they were boasting about !? Over 7 years holding. Money tied up all this time. Why haven't you secured some EU funding for such a pivotal EU project. Lazy, clueless, gravy train riders the lot of them.

Not so sure about the 85% up on the year but certainly over 100% from its drop post Influencer as it has recovered its position. Agree that it should react positively to concentrated period of solid advancing news that is due in the coming months.
Another 5.5% this week, 13.5% on month and 85% on year. This is going to fly DFS.

''Then, the other metal that will be very important is lithium, and this is essential for batteries. Solar energy is not a reliable source of energy all the time, so we have to store the energy so we can use it later. Furthermore, we need batteries for electric cars. In addition, lithium is also used in the most common uses of portable electronics, which is so important for all laptop computers, smartphones, all these compact electronic devices, lithium ion batteries are absolutely essential, because lithium is the metal lighter and has the ability to store energy at a very high level and also be charged very quickly.''

''An industrial blueprint for batteries in Europe'' does not mention Savannah Resources. Only projects with Lithium Mining in nothing - lithium refining capacity seems to be the first interesting stage in the lithium ion battery value chain. Investors might be much more interested if Savannah plans to build own lithium refiner for its own spodumene concentrate some place on the coast. Probably using Metso's sustainable soda pressure leaching technology for direct production of lithium hydroxide. Keliber in Finland is making that.

Osaka your nasty little comments suggest you are just a nasty little ma with a small mind. cannot even do simple sums our you would not make incorrect claims about price rises.. You have a problem, i am a long term investor and hope one day my family will benefit. Everyone does not agree with you, do try not to be snide.
Amazing how the price always rises when numbnuts shares his low IQ dribble with us, cheers
Not in your lifetime move on man pastures new why have an investment that you won’t see any returns
You’ll sleep better for it
"the near future" for Savannah was predicted to be in 2020 and then 2021 and then......... I believe one day this company will prove a decent investment, probably not in my lifetime and the word near seems as in 2020 rather hopeful.
Typically in mining projects financial partnerships/joint ventures are not realized before DFS and Environmental and other Permits are in place. Please, be patient. At least we do have excellent CEO now! SP will be rocketed in the near future.

I think the private transaction for DA's shares would seem most likely, but not sure how quickly this could be done with Probate, etc. Depends on where shares were held I suppose.
There couldn't have been any new shares, as this would require a RNS to update the Total Issue amount.
It is promising that we're getting local buy-in, and not just token gesture but significant amounts.
Where did these 58,639,660 shares come from and how much did they pay for them to get a 3.2% total holding?
Were some of the late David Archer/Dale Ferguson shareholding moved sideways in a private transaction?
Or has there been a placing we have not been informed about? 58m shares in the free float does not appear viable.
Looks promising that it is a major Portugese company with plenty of influence in the region ... will they attempt to reward the locals with incentives of a special share distribution to compensate them and allow the project to move forward quickly? ... As usually happens, there has to be a lot of greasing of palms to placate those in opposition.
They do like a sip of Vinho Verde in between moves. Slowly, slowly catch a monkey.
The Portuguese chess pieces have only just started to move.
I would expect more
Oscar - me too. I feel the sp is being manipulated for some reason......hopefully one that proves beneficial to us as holders.

In Portuguese but you can turn on English subtitles (mostly accurate). Quite long but a good discussion between EP and a couple of profs looking to unpick and understand the project. Sometimesceptical rather than hostile, but EP opened up his reasoning and puts up a good case in a reasoned way. This is for the local regional to so presumably will get aired and viewed.
Seemed to be a number of comments bemoaningthe price of the and parcels - € / principles balance?
