Anyone fancy clubbing together and getting a truly independent legal opinion on this? All very well the “company’s lawyers” saying not a leg to stand on but I for one, with tens of 000s invested, wouldn’t mind knowing where we actually stand.
Do the Portuguese media award themselves prizes for pontification? Plenty of contenders trying to grab the moral high ground on lithium mining. This is just another self-publicist grandstanding on tittle tattle and Chinese whispers. Just ignore them and they will disappear in a puff of their own hot air!
Well it has prompted an RNS.
The new PR guru has barely had time to find the coffee machine.
Interesting news article that PortugalInsider has highlighted although I think the content of the article represents nothing more than the fever dream hopes of her and the other members of the local antis cell. The newspaper took the bait of these hearsay comments allegedly made by the Public Prosecutor hook line and sinker and published them. I wouldn’t wish to rain on her parade but the last time I looked Portugal still operated as a democracy which includes an independent judiciary. It is for the public prosecutor to prosecute – that’s it. It is not the role of the public prosecutor to judge.
So there is a very, very long way to go before there is any result even if the result is one that is negative for Savannah – the investigation has to be concluded, the public prosecutor has to decide if it wants to go ahead with a prosecution of the individuals that have been mentioned, it has to decide who it will prosecute, the case has to be heard, a judgment handed down and any appeal process has likely to be worked through. This is before you even get to the point where there is any semblance of an established case to withdraw the EIA. Fever dreams don’t cut.
Judicial processes are notoriously slow in Portugal. By the time this all happens, if it happens, Savannah will have already gone into production and produced many thousands of tons of lithium.
What is your reading of that article? Thanks
I second this.
Let today's news with the position of the Public Prosecutor sink in and your current penny stock SP is still a luxury.

Well said.
When it comes to Li price, I've always been interested if Li from MdB will 'command' a higher price as being a EU source mineral and hopefully one with Greener credentials. I know the market conditions will always drive the price, but is there a chance of a 10-20% uplift for these reasons? Especially if EU OEM's must have EU source Li.
Had a look at what is in the companys presentation from a few weeks ago. There are a lot of good things buried in the last few pages to look at.
The post tax npv is US$953m at lithium price of $1,464/t. The NPV is 23 times the current market cap of savannah which is $42m. The lithium price is $1,000 at the moment. The sensitivity analysis shows that a 20% drop in the price of lithium to $1,171/t gives a NPV of 650m – still 15x the current market cap so there is more than a little headroom.
Also the comparative cost curve is really interesting. Shows Barosso operating costs compare favourably with the world class Greenbushes mine and the other Australian hard rock producers. So it is a very robust project.
There seems to be a big discount applied for something in Europe but this discount should close as the Portuguese political pantomime is shown to be just that and as value adding steps such a drill results, upgraded resource, partnering, RECAPE and a development decision come through. Once in production will earn a share price premium for being a Euro producer. I'll read all presentations from the back from now
‘Our’ SP reflects a general malaise across all areas of the lithium world and indeed, relatively speaking, can hold its head up,, at least according to the RK monthly

Is an interesting view on the headwinds felt across the world, not just in Portugal and whilst not really mentioned, but across many mined commodities as well.
The above definition of a mine is reflected in "our" sp. This valuation is less than when it seemed probable that political buffoons in Portugal would stop any mining of Lithium in this sad European country.. I can only assume that progress is so slow that Electric cars will be powered by a very different type of battery by the time Savannah eventually make any progress thus a sp valuation south of 2p makes sense.
The article from Negocios is a generally accurate and unbiased report on what the ceo said on the video from the investor conference last week

Anyone able to post the article?
After quite a long period of minimal trading volume, today was more interesting.
Chunky buys as well.
Some chunky consistent selling pressure today pushing sp lower, so last week's presentation has clearly not had a beneficial impact !

Sorry, just watched it myself, and was not impressed at all. Very amateurish, and thought the new (awful young) CEO had little back up and made to look, well, young and inexperienced.
Watched a similar presentation from ALL on the same night and it was like night and day. They are of very similar standing as projects, but if I was a potential new investor, I know where my money would be going.
It is a shame, because it is a difficult thing to do (presentations, been there), but the support our new young fella got was nil. Bad, bad, bad organising I thought...😏
Just watched the presentation. Items of interest to me :-News of partnering process likely March April. European funding sounds real. There is a plan. B if these don't happen. Some of the potential new licenses are of interest and work for Sav. The mine starts delivering product in about 29 months . A lot of locals like him.
No they didn't, it was a fat finger error, a small trade printed at 3.00 and immediately corrected.
All back to normal. Looks like these after hours buys/sells cuased the spike.

Still not corrected price on Google/yahoo???
Some of you thought this was happening come on admit it........

Showing as 57% on Google and Yahoo but not on FT :-(
Clearly an error as simultaneously shows a negative trade of same qty and another at sp of 1.80 !
Shame no sudden rise in reality but nice to have that hope for a short while !
Weird - looking at the trades it seems like a temporary blip. Subsequent trades going through at 1.8
