Here is my usual Thursday prediction. SAR are not leaky and the size of the trades (small) suggests this is just sentiment. You never know though.
You might get 2 in the form of PME’s
Potnak I need to challenge you on this. The size of the trades are by no means small, we’re already way beyond yesterday’s volume. Technicals screamed breakout and news accompanied it, albeit not via a RNS yet. I know you like to keep a balanced ship, and so do I when I comes to the price action. No offence intended, I just needed to set you straight on that as I’m sure you would me.
Ay, but I can remember when you could buy a million shares for £3.5k. If news did leak and it never has with SAR we would be seeing much bigger trades. Happy for the rise though. Little annoyed too because I sold a few at 7.5 a could of days ago. I'm not sure they will RNS the patent find. it looks like its just another indication covered. Big news, in terms of potential market size but I'm not sure it is price sensitive with the compound still in preclinical development. They could tweet the news though. I'm very bullish here but I don't think today or tomorrow is the time. My guess on the next RNS will be another subscription. Happy to be wrong on any of the above.
James, to be honest we have seen these types of trades already. The big ones will be at £300K+ when they come flying in, however, I do agree we seem to be in breakout period hence me saying this month is the month of the re-rate.
Same as you Potnak I sold a few at 8p this morning but it’s always easy to be wise with hindsight. There is no 100% guarantee this will go to the moon. If there was everyone would be in already! It is looking more likely but it still makes sense to top slice from time to time just to protect from a worst case scenario of bad news! Most people top slicing above 7p will have already done every well and most of us are still holding a big chunk for the moon shot! I have sold around a third of my original holding in the last 2 months and very happy to have already more than doubled my total original
Investment.
Yes, now on a free ride and I made a profit on my original stake. I can now tell myself I have nothing to lose although the missus sees it differently. She's having my gonads if I lose the paper profit, apparently. Its a risk I'm willing to take.
Potnak/anyone - I've not top sliced yet here, still got close to 3m in my ISA and 1.4m in my SIPP. How do you decide on how much to top slice? Genuine question by the way
It's not about how much to top slice, more what are you slicing for. Need the money, lost faith, think it's at a top, or in potnaks case the misus made you, haha.
Maybe have exit points. Initially sell enough to get your stake back and a little bit of spending money as well. as a personal reward for making a wise choice! It's a huge relief to be on a free ride no matter what the prospects are. Then tranches as required leaving sufficient for the big pay day. As everyone's circumstances are different, it's very hard to find a one size fits all apart from aiming for a free ride. The main thing is having these beauties in an ISA.
I think if this was to tank downwards from here we would probably volunteer for the wax treatment!! Not sure the ladies equivalent of this fearful fate! Going back to my original analogy still holding 5 numbers in the lottery and comfortable waiting for the 6th and I feel like the odds are now better than 1 in 54! Perhaps check if the missus would happily take that risk for a once in a lifetime diamond necklace?!!
Working depending on when go got in ... Recovery your original investment and having a free ride woul be an excellent strategy imo
WIP, set your own targets.
sold half my holding around 2.7, paid of my mortgage, new car and sludge in the bank, left me with free ride
I have set my targets once the Agile next news drops, 5mil shares selling at stages but to leave 1mil in the pot to let it do as it wishes (£1-£10 ;))
good luck with your strategies everyone
But a takeover would do nicely
Blue Blue Blue leaky leaky ummm ;)
You have more than me, working. I have 2.5 million now. Sold 300k. I was going to wait until 12p but pushed the button just because it felt right. I do plan to sell another million at 20p (if we get there) and I will be out completely at 40 (if we get there). Not for any other reason than, that's all I need. Been here a long time and if the pandemic has taught me anything it's. life is too short to dream.
Thanks all, will have a proper read of your top-slicing comments this evening and do some calculations - Currently working so tablet compression suites await
