Important distinction with RUA’s polymeric material is that the polymer is interwoven into fine fabric. The other polymeric HV competitors (read Foldax) created theirs from pure polymer which doesn’t have the amazing properties that RUA’s composite has exhibited in their own tests.
This was an accidental finding to some extent because it came out of the work done to create the surgical textile grafts sealed with Elasteon polymer that are awaiting a clinical trial.
This is the reason they are saying the testing is so good in terms of existing valve materials. I don’t believe that anyone has a lead here but of course it’s all about whether the major looking at the material thinks it has legs in forming heart valves in their own designs using this new material rather than animal tissue. I hope that RUA’s management has been able to make the case adequately.
For anyone interested, a big trend resistance line broke today: https://x.com/metalhead2525/status/1792586574313455855?s=46&t=Jne_cUYLxmaxpafySDDQ2A
Doesn’t mean we necessarily shoot up now, of course - but I reckon there’s a much better chance in the next week or two than in any old fortnight you might happen to pick.

Yes one of the main reasons i bought in was because they are in a strong cash Position and wont be looking to make any dilutions anytime soon ...hence a larger chance of all fails to at least get your money back , thats if you bought in under 10 p
They currently have a shortfall of £1m pa from recent RNS. £4m cash is a very nice cushion
Green eyes thank you for your informative and balanced post , I guess with this is also a high to medium risk hence that how real money is made ... I just cant believe with what the company has to potentially offer why is the sp so low ... in comparison to other stocks ...
Tiger, I wouldn’t be worried at present. I can’t find any mention of 6 months in the December or April RNSs. All we know is that at sometime between December and April the major developer received a sample of Elast Eon. This will need that company to perform its whatever tests it wants. Not sure how long it would take them to make a heart valve from Elast Eon before it could start the bench top trials.
I think the 6 month timeframe comes from this being a minimum suggested length of time for a 200 million cycle bench top test to normally take place. The company might want more data than just this before deciding to proceed.
If there is a negative RNS, the sp will almost definitely drop. The knee jerk to any bad news. But, as already said, it will recover. The heart valve use of Elast Eon is, at present, a small part of what RUA has to offer. But it needs to start making a profit. Fingers crossed that’s going to be announced soon.
The HV can't fail as such, it has already been tested and marketed by RUA, it is whether or not they can find a customer who can make use of it. If the current MTA doesn't go anywhere it just means they won't integrate it into their business, hence RUA need some other interest.
They need this new customer in the contract manufacturing business to take them to break even otherwise they are just running down the money, and 4M may not necessarily last that long (at what level do they start thinking about raising? 1M, 500K?). When they double their income (as they have been talking about for well over a year) then I will be comfortable invested here. Given the customer has paid £100K just for preliminary work, and RUA are good in this area, I think the chances of landing the contract is very good. Expect a positive response in the SP when that happens.
RUA have expressed frustration at how slow the industry moves, whether or not it is slow or there is just no serious interest in the products remains to be seen. The upside to them achieving a fraction of their ambition is too good to ignore but you have to accept the risks with RUA, they've talked a good talk for a long time now, time for results not talk!
Not much longer to wait for an RNS, hopefully it will report something interesting!
I am abit more confident with £25k in the mix. Regardless of money as its all relevant. but I am very confident in this return a substantial amount to my SIPP & ISA.
Even if this just fills the gap to 18p will be a nice return. We need some news on a deal
Thank you high flyer .. you have given me confidence hence a just loaded up so more lol
The share price would tumble if the heart valve trial failed, but the cash, IP and business alone are still worth multiples of the current market cap, so it would recover. I really don't see a losing scenario at the current absurd valuation. This is a rare bargain, not even for trading. Just load up and hold.
I think this could be at 50p by the end of the year.
I expect my £1500 investment to pay off my £4500 loan. I'm confident.
Thank You Oscar .. what are you personal thoughts , if reference to how this will plan out and when ?
The trial may have taken 6 months, but they still have to interpret the data collected.
FAR too soon to be jittery.
Guys I am loosing confidence here , some one please answer some of my concerns :
1 Dec was the last RNS that advised it would take 6 months to trail the heart valves , so should we not of heard soemthing by now if it was successful ?
2 if the heart valve is not successful , then would you all agree this will crash ?
Indeed, agree spread is ridiculous, that's mm for you
Looking good here today.
No wonder the penny shares are so dead. 11.2p to sell and 12.5p to buy online, spreads are ridiculous
NT at 11.5p now, obviously if it goes 11p bid others in at 10.5p might sell for a quick profit, it's that kind of market
Btw, 110,000 buyer appeared earlier in case no one noticed
They can't be far off now with news on tests, RUA very confident, if proved this will go parabolic
IG want 11.75p. For any size now. Must be about to move
Should move soon NT now at 11p for 25k after all that buying this morning
From the Business Update RNS:
“ Additionally, as announced on 20 December 2023, the Company has successfully entered into a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) with a global Heart Valve company. The Group's composite material has been delivered and is currently being tested by this partner. The non-calcific nature of Elast-Eon, together with the tear resistance of the novel composite (up to two times improvement over current materials), positions RUA as a leader in developing next-generation alternative leaflet material resistant to Structural Valve Degeneration (SVD). The Company is confident that these results will be of significant interest to other prospective partners and is actively exploring additional potential partnerships.”
‘Actively exploring additional…’ keeps all the majors interested and I hope FOMO kicks in, and someone signs an exclusive deal with RUA.
Material Transfer Agreement - the major that is testing the heart valve. My understanding is there are AIM rules about buying during certain sensitive business activities, otherwise I imagine any staff who knew ahead of markets about a major announcement would mortgage their house to buy shares.
Some one is loading up , everytime this goes in the 10 p zone , a 5 k purchase goes through ...
MTA is what please explain sir ???
